Anna

I could feel my body trembling as Caroline called out my name in fear. I couldn’t speak. It felt like my throat was being tied in a knot. My womb cramped so badly that my legs gave off. And how did all this happen? It was because of Damon.

Jarred was the first person to rush to me. He grabbed me and lifted me off the chair. The smell of chicken Parmesan filled the air, but nobody was interested in having dinner anymore. Everybody’s attention had turned to me, and I can’t lie, I hated it. Tonight was supposed to be a chill, relaxing night with Caroline and Stella at the dinner table also with Jarred who’d joined us impromptu. Now, I was being rushed out of the house.

“Anna! Please be okay!” Stella cried out as Jarred rushed me towards his car.

“Stella. I need you to stay back okay?” Caroline asked. “We will take care of Anna. Just make sure that the house is cleaned up.”

I was confused as I heard. I was in extreme pain, but I could still better understand what Caroline was sta

Anna“You’re awake,” I heard a voice say. I opened my eyes to find Stella sitting by the bed with a bright smile on her face. Her long wavy brown hair fell on her shoulders elegantly and her brown eyes were on me, lit with happiness. It was good to see her. Last night, I went through an emotional turmoil. The news of the twins had broken me. I was excited to have them, but the thought of Damon coming after them drowned every bit of happiness out of me. I was scared. Scared for myself and them. I was scared of this pack as well. When Damon chose to wreck havoc, there was little that could stand in his way. Caroline had assured me that she would talk to Rohan when he got back, but that didn’t look likely now. Rohan wasn’t back and I wasn’t sure of when he was going to be back. But regardless, I was happy that he was with Damon. Which meant that as long as he was outside the pack with him, I was safe. When he returned, there was going to be a lot of friction. I was scared to meet Damo

RohanGet up, Rohan! I told myself. We’d been destroyed by Isaiah, a vampire who was stronger than we all predicted. I was disappointed. If we couldn’t defeat Cassian’s second in command, how would we even stand a chance against him? It was a self reflection period, but at the moment a lot of things were happening all at once. The sounds of the police sirens echoed from the distance and Dayton beside me in a pool of blood. Damon on the other hand seemed fine, but to a few injuries. His jacket was soaked with the blood from the vampire attack. He was going to be fine. “Rohan. We need to get out of here,” Dayton called weakly. “The cops are going to be here.”I nodded and tried to pull myself from the ground, but my body wouldn’t obey. I was so weak and tired. “Just give me a second,” I said before forcing myself upwards. My body finally obeyed, lifting me off the floor and I rushed towards Dayton. Damon stood to his feet, a slight groan from him. He’d taken the most beating from I

Anna My heart dropped as I heard the news. Twins? No. There was no way. This couldn’t be happening. There was no way I could be bearing twins for Damon. If he found out that he had two, he was going to come after them in full force. This couldn’t reach him. For the sake of my twins and their safety. “Oh my!” Caroline gasped in shock hurrying towards me. She wrapped her hands around me and placed her head against mine. “Congratulations Anna. I’m so happy for you.” I gave them a crooked smile, trying my best not to look scared. But Rebekah’s eyes caught mine. She stared at me, her silver eyes into mine. My heart skipped a beat. How was anybody able to lie to her? Her hair was pulled back neatly into a ponytail and she had her notepad in her hand as she stared at me. “You don’t seem happy, Anna,” she said. I sighed and leaned back into the bed. She knew. Of course she did. Caroline pulled away, her brows furrowed as she gazed at me, confusion etched on her face. “What? I

DamonWhat was that feeling? Just then before Isaiah had called me out. I felt something strange. Like someone I knew was in danger. Could it be Sophie? No. She was at home with my parents. My dad would protect her if anything happened. Then who was it? Anna. It had to be. I’d never felt that before, and I could tell that there was more to it. I had to get back to her. I had to find her before it was too late. “Then come at me, Alpha. Let’s see what you’ve got,” Isaiah teased. I smiled as I stared at him, cracking my knuckles. “Alright, buddy. You’re about to get the beating of your life.”I rushed towards him with Rohan’s words catching me. “Damon! Wait!” He yelled but I didn’t listen. I swung a fist at him, but he pulled away neatly before grabbing my hand and swinging me away. I landed on one of the pillars roughly before falling face down to the tiled floor. “I told you,” I heard Isaiah say. “You don’t stand a chance.”I looked up as I picked myself from the ground slowly. Da

Rohan Isaiah knew we were coming. But how? My heart was throbbing hard against my chest as I stared at Damon and Dayton. We weren't sure if we were supposed to step out. It could be a trap for all we know. There was no way he could have known that we were coming for him. “Come on,” Isaiah called impatiently. “I could smell your mutt scent when you three stepped into the opera.”Well, that explained everything now. If he had such a strong sense of smell, how much more would Cassian have? He could spot us from miles away, and I wasn’t really keen on being attacked before we got to the mission at hand. “Alright,” Dayton called, stepping out of the shadows. “You got us.”I stared at Damon who mirrored my confusion on his face. Was this a great idea? There was no way in hell. But what were we going to do about this? What choice did we have? I wasn’t sure that they could stand up against him. He could wipe the floor with us according to what the vampire had said. Well, there was only one
