I took my cell phone to capture that special moment, and then I pressed my lips together, hoping not to cry as I watched my daughter squint her eyes, pucker her lips, and sometimes crease her forehead as she stopped at each letter. Red. Blue. Green. Violet. Onyx. “What color is onyx?” Gracie asked in a hushed tone, leaning toward her mother. Sapphire raised her head and looked at me, ignoring Gracie. “Mommy, how do I spell Sapphire?” I cocked my head to the side, slowly saying each letter of Sapphire’s name. Katie pouted her lips, sighing and easing back to blink at her art. “Her name’s so long,” she sighed again.

But she meowed as if signaling me to tell them apart with names. So, I called a maid and ordered. “Please prepare new collars for Lilly’s kittens. Ted and Chase for boys and Sky for the sweet princess.”

Anyone would laugh if they found out. Oh! The baby eagles stopped, taking in Ambrose curiously. The Golden Wing Eagle was about as powerful as the Four Congenial Beasts and every bit as smart. The two baby eagles were actually able to understand what Ambrose was saying. Ambrose let out a sigh of relief as they stopped, coming closer to take another look. He saw that one of the baby eagles had yellow-beige fur, and the other was gray. Realizing this, Ambrose gave them the names Snowball and Grayball. He played with them for a bit, and it was not long before they hit it off.

He hadn't even argued or tried to act prideful which clearly told me he'd been living in a bad condition. "It's going to be so much fun," Blue said. "Hunter has a really cute pet called a 'doggie'. He's brown and fluffy and lets me kiss and cuddle him. You'll love him too." "As long as he's not a seahorse." He said. "A seahorse?" I asked climbing behind the wheel. "Yeah. Blue had a seahorse pet that I used to hate." I watched him as he sat in the backseat. I snorted.
