"Listen up Chocolate, I do not want to ever see you with Troy, so long as you work for this company, you're mine" I bulrt out shamelessly, inhaling her cologne that is now registered in my mine. She smelled like morning dew and lilies on the hills with a topping of chocolate. She smelled like something made for real men. And this fragrance of hers was soothing to me. It calmed my nerves in ways I could only imagine. "Sir we are outside and won't want to give the press the wrong idea now, would we?" I see I have grown on her, I saw that smug smile on her face, she knew now how much I loved her scent. I think she just discovered how to torment me.

He was met with her wide eyed expression. He followed her gaze to the screen on the building to their right, which was playing a commercial. It was a perfume commercial. At first, he couldn't figure out what was wrong with the commercial that made her eyes pop but when the commercial replayed, he finally saw it. That blue high heel-shaped perfume bottle! Wasn't that the bottle he had watched her design in his house a week ago? It was even the same color and the name inscribed on it was identical to the one she was going to use for Gem Bliss's new perfume!

Freya's POV Three months later, two noblewomen strolled into a perfume boutique in Norma. "I'm sure that this perfume boutique is the finest in Norma, especially with this new fragrance from their collection," remarked one of the noblewomen. A stunning lady in a purple gown gracefully picked up a bottle of blue perfume and delicately took a whiff, a subtle expression of contentment gracing her features. "It contains rose oil and clove, but I detect something else..." She paused, scrunching her nose in thought.

I’ve had enough. On my way to open the bathroom door, I grab a different bottle of cologne. Something besides the Marco de Polo, I usually wear. Instead of the sporty, lemon zest, this cologne sweetens me, like a cinnamon-and-clove- infused bottle of bourbon. I spray under my shirt, then move to the back and sides of my neck, and finally my wrists. The minute I step outside the bathroom, Reid says, “Wow, done already?I thought for sure you’d need at least another hour.”

He hands me one without a word. "Thanks." We drink in silence. The coffee is terrible. I drink it anyway. "You felt it again today, didn't you?" Colt asks. I don't pretend not to know what he means. "Yes." "In the classroom." "Yes." "And you still can't figure out who it is." "No." I set the cup down harder than I mean to. Coffee sloshes over the rim. "I can't smell anything. King reacts, but there's no scent to follow."

The scent of smoke thickened, drifting through the trees like a warning. Lilith’s muscles tensed, her claws still half-extended from training. It was like my mind wasn't focusing on sex because it has been occupied by so many other things. I stood up and went towards the door that led to the VIP area. It was a perfume created by extracting the melanin from flowers and then mixing it with the right formulas to create that perfect smell.

A red silk shirt, with its first two buttons left out, and a sexy leather pant did it. If I were gay, I swear I'd be crushing on myself. It wasn't complete yet though. I put on my Cubans, one for my neck and one on my wrist. I wore a cologne my dad got me on one of his”vacations”. It was a Dior, limited edition, and smelt like one. They were never on sale. Available for only the minority, and that meant my Dad and I. I heard the honk of Lily's car, right after I threw them on.

It was an old Our Lady Peace band shirt. “Hipster.” I rolled my eyes and balled the shirt up. I knew who they were because Dec loved them. I doubted Ash had ever heard one of their songs. My eyes fell on the bottle of cologne sticking out of his caddy. I didn’t wear cologne. Mostly because I’d never bothered to find one that suited me. Crystal had given me a bottle of Axe when I was sixteen, but that shit had nearly choked me when I’d tested it out. Ash wore expensive shit—because of course he did—but even I had to admit that it smelled damn good on him.
