The Blue Lightning Novels & Stories

Horrible, pointed teeth, leaving trails of saliva and disgust all over me as I resist. I dig deep, anger, fear, a sheer need to survive, and put all I can into throwing it off. Suddenly aglow with blue light coming from within, mustering all I have. I ignite like an imploding light globe, and the energy explosion throws my foe feet in the air. Lighting up the entire clearing, a soft blue hue that clearly shows me what it is as I shift from under it.

Blue. Not the blue of the sky or ocean, nor anything earthly. This is the blue of lightning—of raw power given form—of divinity taking shape in flesh that struggles to contain it. It’s different from that night in the forest when her eyes transformed or the flashes he had seen staring back at her in the mirror. Her hair shifts as well. It starts at the roots; black fades away, replaced by silver that spreads and becomes an incandescent white—pure and luminous, as if it generates its own light.

With every second, I could feel the ground shaking beneath me, an underlying pulse that matched the frantic rhythm of my heartbeat. “Get back!” I shouted, pushing Niyla behind me, gripping her arm as I glanced at the crowd that desperately sought refuge. But then the chaos escalated, and I felt the spark of something volatile in the air. Suddenly, the flashing symbols pulsed brighter, the atmosphere thick with tension as Liam’s silhouette darkened against the storm. Those symbols had come alive, their energy coursing through his veins like wildfire. Just as I opened my mouth to warn everyone, a blinding blue light erupted from the ground, surging violently. The world around me seemed to shim

The enormous windows that stretched floor to ceiling on the east side of the building were draped with a delicate silvery mesh, reflecting the light from the cast iron chandelier that hung low in the centre of the room. And Irina was not finished. "Don't you get mud on my floor!" Clutching her clipboard, Sapphira watched as Irina pointed at Beta Declan's filthy boots. "Sorry, Irina." He grinned sheepishly and kissed the top of the tiny woman's head while she batted him away.

In the middle of a scene, he puts his arm around me and I walk up to him. -I really like you Mindy. I pull away and get up from the couch. -This is happening so fast," I was about to leave, but he stops my arm. -Please don't go. -Let go of me. -Please, you have to remember me, don't you remember me at all," he hugged me from behind and whispered in my ear. "Blue lake." -¿Blue lake? -Blue lake. -¿What's wrong with you? -It's not working.

This time Hailey joined her too and they all promised to meet soon. Iris broke the hug even though she was greedy to stay in David's arms. They had to leave for the airport to catch the flight. Already they were late with all such surprises. She hopped inside the car with David and Hailey when they noticed big grey clouds start covering the sky. The piercing silver lightning slashed open the sky like a ruthless beast. The harsh wind started blowing and the clouds started gulping the daylight wrapping the surroundings with a blanket of darkness. "What a sudden change in weather. Damn it." Hailey cursed while instructing David to drive faster before the rain started heavily.

He was the most secretive being I’ve ever known. I walked out of my skyscraping building and got into the back seat of my 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV, while Dario sat in the passenger seat beside Jake, my gamma, who happened to be the one driving. “Your Highness,” he greeted me and I nodded my head at him in response before resting my head backward and closing my eyes. When they saw the position that I was in, they both kept quiet knowing fully well I needed the quietness to reign in my Lycan.

Naya was on the ground, Dani and Rune beside her, fighting off four wolves. My mind hollowed out, and I let myself go. I pulled the invisible thread from the ground into me, through me. I shot my power into the sky, channeling a giant blast up, up, up until lightning came down from the sky. A massive purple streak erupted in the middle of the fighting, with several smaller ones splintering onto the ground. Fire appeared where the lightning had stuck. The flames grew and spread across the field, encircling the battle and in between fights.

Stella shouts over the roar of the wind. “I’m not afraid of heights!” I shout back, tightening my arms around her waist. My fingers are numb to the bone, and I’m sure my hair has frost in it at this altitude, but below us, the most violent storm clouds I’ve ever seen twist and spiral, flashing with deep purple lightning, which is often followed by Zayn’s bright blue bolts. A battle of epic proportions is taking place–still. But not for long, if I have anything to do with it.

Accompanied by thunderous roars, dense Quasar Lightning suddenly descended and enveloped all living beings still in a dreamlike state. Screams erupted on all sides. Those with lower cultivation bases were swiftly dismembered, and their souls scattered under the lightning. Even the dozens of Yuraeceon Daelm Rank powerhouses trembled rapidly as if receiving a high-voltage shock under the lightning. At the same time, numerous elixirs within the blue-flamed star were lifted by the descending Quasar Lightning, floating in the air in countless numbers. “Collect!” shouted Lesia. All the floating elixirs in the void were promptly collected.
