When my feet touched the ground, I raced towards the water fascinated by the color of it. Gazing into the water, it was so clear you could see the bottom. And the bottom was covered in purple sand that stopped just at the edge of the grass. A loud squawk behind me took my attention away from the lake to the trees surrounding us.
