Getting there, the mansion’s front gates were closed, guards stationed like statues in black suits. Inside, the room smelled faintly of incense and roses.
Levi’s coffin was at the center, polished and black, his favorite watch strapped to his wrist, a small handwritten letter from Yvette tucked into his chest pocket.
