The Beta & the jewel thief - book 6

The Beta & the jewel thief - book 6

Black and scaly with a beak full of jagged sharp teeth. In the distance a child cried, the sound cutting through the bleak night, as the moon shone down on quiet streets. I made my way across town to Sapiens, an old tavern that still operated on the outskirts of Briarshire. An establishment that had been passed down through generations and had even withstood the great Lycan wars from two and a half centuries ago. With my enhanced hearing I could make out the lowly chatter of patrons and the giggles coming from the women who worked there. It was a bar, but it also doubled as a bordello house.

I really enjoyed this series. Many books on this platform have similar stories, which gets boring really fast. This book series kept me entertained the whole time. It had the perfect balance of romance and action. I enjoyed getting to know each character in more detail as each book was added.

The White Wolf

The White Wolf

“For you? The Tunnel Bar in the City.” “Cute. Send a tray over. There are five of us.” I nodded, but Uncle Harris shot me a dirty look. He didn’t want me moving from behind the bar. I loaded my tray with five shots of Jim Bean and five pints from the tap. Their eyes darkened as I approached, staring at my chest or the exposed flesh on my stomach. “The bourbon is decent if you have a discerning palate. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale has a strong malt taste balanced with lots of citrus.”

The Journey Collection

"What are you doing here, Austin?" Charity must have forgiven my outburst at the diner earlier this week. She raced up to me the moment she saw me standing at the bar. We didn't have a lot of indoor places to hang out in Mason Belle. Well, actually, we had one. The Hut. It wasn't much to write home about. A handful of local, retired vets had gotten together and started the bar. They only opened on Friday and Saturday nights, and they only sold beer and a handful of liquors. Anyone who cared to call a label from the shelf needed to ride into Laredo, because they couldn't do it here.

Our Submissive Sin

Our Submissive Sin

I knew a single strike wouldn't kill a wolf that size, but tearing his flesh would ease the burning rage in my gut. I dropped a piece of bloody meat into my mouth and chewed slowly, letting the copper taste fill my tongue while I watched the Ranger drink his brew. Ignorance is bliss for a doomed wolf. These bastards thought they owned the mountain, but their world was about to burn to the ground, and they couldn't even smell the smoke. After the strained dinner, Corwin guided me down the muddy track toward the Silver Fang Tavern, which the old-timers still called the Night Captain. Before Zuberi took the territory, this old tavern belonged to one of the ancient founding lines of the valley.

The Luna He Never Deserved

The Luna He Never Deserved

The bartender from last time wore a frown the moment he sighted us, wanting to disappear into another corner, when Zilla snapped her fingers at him. “A bottle of vodka and fruit juice. Pleaseeee,” she dragged. “Or should I take my noise and money elsewhere?” she arched her brows, arms folded. The bartender gestured towards the empty booths. “Welcome to Howl and Growls Bar, ma'ams. Feel free to have your seats.” Even the deaf could hear the sarcasm in his voice. “You should really watch your drinking habit, Toasty. Between you and Roger, I don't know who’s the worst drunk.”

The Secret Life of Being My Professor's Maid

The Secret Life of Being My Professor's Maid

With all of those barbeque restaurants lined up, it's like a hepatitis lane tonight. "You're going to treat me, right?" "W- Why?" “Are you a goat? Goat? Why are you stuttering?” –Like a fool. Tsk. I placed an order for two bowls of porridge with a stuffed heart. I also ordered egg waffles to accompany the porridge in order to make it more delectable. Grills can be found in the adjacent stall. Pork intestines, chicken intestines, pork blood, and chicken feet. I also received four cans of beer. Sir looked like a fool as he hovered his eyes over the restaurants.

Teaching her a lesson

Teaching her a lesson

Sean couldn't make it, but Alice, Jacqui, Jay, Roddy and I were all there, all punctual as usual. Gooses was a decent little bar. Since none of us lived in White Oaks, we'd chosen it only because it was near the highway and Jay had thought the lack of apostrophe in the signage would drive my English teacher sentimentality insane. (It did, but I seldom gave him the satisfaction of admitting as much.) The food was good, the drinks reasonably priced, the staff friendly, and the company top notch. I'd bought the first round; when Jacqui grew suspicious of the impoverished teacher's generosity, I shrugged and said I'd been having a good week. I was spared further interrogation after Roddy piped i

This book although taboo, brilliantly done. Original content and vividly described. Well paced. Thoroughly enjoyed and Im not even done with it yet. 30 chapters left. Def worth the read and def should be rated higher. Must be cuz of the subject matter though.

Really well-written, and very hot! It is so nice to read a book on one of these platforms without egregious spelling and grammatical errors! It lists this book as ongoing, but there haven’t been updates in a while. I would love more!

Everlasting Fire

Everlasting Fire

Holding his head higher and puffing on his chest. “It’s none of your business how I got here. Now, if you aren’t going to order a drink, I have others to attend to.” He muttered. “Very well, I’ll take an ale. Actually, make it a double I have time to kill.” With a nod, he turned and grabbed two steins. Filling them before placing them before me. I handed him two gold coins. He grabbed them, stuffing them in his apron before moving on to the next person at the bar. I shifted from the bar and headed to a table at the far end of the tavern. Far away from prying eyes as I watched people come and go. The tavern was dark, the flames of the fire were burning hot, and the lights above dimmed. The wo

The Evening Star

The Evening Star

Shark bait was engraved on a copper metal and here two was another one of those R’s. “So what are we going to find here?” Claire said, frowning slightly. “Information and maybe what we are looking for.” Jack said, swinging the door open and holding it for Claire. Claire stepped in and the smell hit her first. It was a sweet rotten smell. The tavern was lit dim and the bright light was coming from the bar. Men were passed out in the corners, girls sat on tables or the bar giggling to drunk men. Claire walked in a little further, Jack and Jonah walked in behind her. Jack stepped in front of Claire scanning the room. He started to make his way to the bar Claire followed with Jonah. A loud squea

Her Hatred

Her Hatred

I instantly rushed over to her and took her into the basement, "Stay here, don't move." She nodded at me while I remove my gun and loaded it before going back upstairs. The door flew open, revealing six men in black suits, heavily armed. I scanned their skin in search for any tattoos and felt my heart skip a beat when I saw a tattoo on their wrists. A fucking Dragon. It was the Russian Mafia.
