The room shifted again, shadows lengthening as though the floor itself tilted beneath me.
My stomach lurched.
I stumbled toward the window, yanking the curtain aside.
The street outside glowed with the broken rhythm of the malfunctioning lamp post.

I pressed my forehead to the glass, the chill shocking me into stillness.
