The bodyguard in the foyer moved with blinding speed, catching Eileen by the arm and holding her firm. “How dare you touch me!” Eileen screamed, struggling against his grip. “Let go of my daughter!” Estella shrieked. The bodyguard didn't flinch. He looked toward Aubrey, his expression neutral, silently waiting for her command on whether to release the woman or keep her restrained. Aubrey met his gaze and gave a small, weary nod.

My mind was still reeling from the events of the night, but I was trying to push it all aside, to focus on the present. As we pulled up to the house, a bodyguard stepped forward, his expression serious. "Sir, ma'am, I need to inform you that there's trouble," he said, his voice low. Gabe's grip on my hand tightened. "What kind of trouble?" he asked, his voice firm. The bodyguard hesitated. "It seems that there's been a breach in security. We've had reports of suspicious activity around the perimeter of the property." My heart sank, my mind racing. Not again. Please, not again.
