Novel & Cerita Book 16 The Iliad

*Never judge a friend by what they give, but of how much of themselves they give* *Editing magic performed by KJ24 and Shyqash, plus contributions by the regular gang of brigands and neer-do-wells* *There is a bit of mangling of the Iliad going on. My apologies to Homer and the countless singers before him who carried the Iliad down through the dark centuries until the Greeks figured out how writing works* (From the floor of Katrina's office)

They are grumpy and their faces never reveals any sign of morale. Gianni returns to his quarters. As he slowly opens the door, he stumbles upon Prince Julien, who is reading a book. He is waiting for his return. The book’s title is The Art of War, Gianni catches a glimpse of it before the prince can hide it when he notices Gianni returning. “Your Highness,” Gianni bows down, “to what do I owe the visit?” “Cur the formalities,” Prince Julien gets closer to Gianni. He suddenly places his arms around him, locking him tightly. “I’m glad you are safe.”

I thought it was about the place called Santorini that is known for its beautiful architectural design- but I was wrong. The first 10 pages of the book are written in different languages. And every end of each page has a word 'code conduct- Sovrano' it's weird because there's no name of the author written. But the question in my mind answered when I saw the 11th page of the book.

he states as I nod. "Thank you" I almost whisper, he smiles. He moves to a backpack on the floor. Coming towards me with a book. "This is a history book from the ancient library of the Lycans, cost me a pretty penny a long time ago" he adds. "After you've read it; you decide what you want to do" I nod sadly taking in the old leatherbound book in my hand.

Alizeh: 'I know, but I can't control my laugh! Varun: "I can say this also with that other meaning, but I am not like that na!" Alizeh: "I know that you are not like that, I know it really well knows! by the way when is my book coming!" Varun: "Maybe 23!" Alizeh: "Yayy, I will keep it with me always!" Varun: "You can also keep me with you always!" Alizeh: "I know, you can also keep me!"

I told everyone as I pointed my index, and the book came to me voluntarily. I landed on the floor with the book in my hand. "That's the book?" Demeter asked as she gave Kairen to Logan. "It looks ancient!" "It is. This is a replica of the book in the moon goddess chamber. Let's see!" I began flipping through the pages. Until I found the chapter I was looking for. "Is that a history book?" King Logan asked while carrying his son. "Is it. It is the history of the wolf packs in five countries. Hidden packs, big and small packs, and even the first rogues in the land. It is all written here!" I read the paragraph where it said about the lost pack.

They didn’t even raise questions. Our country, Crest country was a diplomatic one ruled by the government under one president. We lived in the state’s capital, in the richest estate in the city. I studied in Van private academy , the most expensive private academy in the city and I was currently on my tenth grade. Due to our high status, there was absolutely no way I would simply miss the blood test. This was just jumping into a crocodile’s mouth and testing if it would bite you

She can only differentiate them through their sizes and colors so she has to diligently flip through each book’s first few pages to find out what the content of the story were even about. Proserpina goes through each book on the shelf slowly and mechanically, flips through the pages to try and find… at least something that will catch her interest–there was a story about the origin of soul mates, the concept of rebirth, the rise and fall of Elder Gods, Trojan War–only to no avail. It seems that most of the books Athena has been more on about history, serious matters than what is to be considered anything appropriate for a light reading.

“Can you explain what that means?” Leander nods his head at Tobias. “The book is written in an ancient language that was impossible to read. When Lorcan showed me the book, I couldn’t figure it out. However, Lorcan could read that book because the language he saw was English. “It didn’t make sense to me, but to him, it did. Lorcan hid that book away, and none of us has thought about it in years. As soon as Lilly fell into a deep sleep, Luther and Lorcan began talking. Lorcan knew that he needed to get back to Dalgaard Mansion to retrieve that book. Lorcan is probably smarter than anyone I have ever known, and he knew just what to do.”

“This world is nothing but liars.” Dante slid his arm around her waist, his lips brushing her hair. “Then let’s be the best liars of them all.” Their eyes lingered on their daughter, the wolf and his queen watching their heir sleep, their reign carved in blood, their future balanced on lies. For now, it was enough.
