Ilyria and the Lightning Bird

Ilyria and the Lightning Bird

From the second dice, she got the next number—the page in the book. And there it was. It had even been marked ‘Lost Cities of the One World.’ Ilyria wanted to laugh but she was too relieved. She didn’t know how much time had passed but she felt an urgent need to hurry. She removed the page from the book, closed it and put everything back as it had been. For her father. She made her way back down the passageway, thinking of how she would love to spend days in her father’s chambers, looking over all his papers, trying to know the man and not just the fragmented memory of a father that she had.

An Odyssey

An Odyssey

I said as I skimmed through the first few pages of the book. “Okay so, please don’t judge me Edward,” “I never judged you” I said and opened a random page of the book from the middle. Wrong page! My eyes widened and brows rose in astonishment. Well, this was to be expected. “Whoa!” I exhaled and scoffed. She snatched the book away from me and placed it beside her. “Listen to me” she snapped. “I was listening,” I grumbled. “Looks like you’re not in the mood today. Your loss! I was going to tell you something regarding Lilly”

Luna of the Menae

Luna of the Menae

He tilts his head with concern when I look back at him. “Just promise me.” I wipe the tears from my face. “Please.” “Okay, I promise won’t get mad.” He shakes his head, not understanding why he would need to promise that. I take the dragon scale gloves from Pan and carefully unwrap the leather strings holding the bag closed. I reach inside and grab the massive book by the spine. I wait a moment to prepare myself before I slide it out onto the crystal stand. I take a sharp breath when it comes into view. It’s just as beautiful as I remember. The cursed black leather cover has a sheen of iridescent purple when it hits the light. Instead of a leather binding on the edge, I sowed it with golden

This story was “ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL”!! I love love loved it!! So well written & very descriptive!! The characters had such depth! My favourite characters were Bronx and Kas(Iokaste), of course!! They went through “SO” much, but made it through!!

Love this book and this author. She has found a way to write two books that seem like completely different stories but then happen to intertwine at an unexpected point. Ever chapter she posts leaves me wanting more. I can’t wait to continue reading this series!

His cursed Luna

His cursed Luna

" Well, not everything was burned into ashes... There was a book that the fire couldn't burn. The book is protected by some sort of spells - we tried to reach for the help of witches, but none of them was able to figure how to open it, neither read it. The book is writing in Mycenaean Greek - the most ancient attested form of the Greek language, on the Greek mainland and Crete in Mycenaean Greece (16th to 12th centuries BC)." " Can I have a look at that book?" Asked Chris, and she nodded while looking for the book she was talking about. Somehow it feels wrong to gain someone's trust only to trick him, or kill him in our case. But seeing the thing those people have done to my kind, yet still

A beautiful story. I like how the cure to the curse for the alpha is for him to find true love or learn how to love it creates a deeper romance meaning underneath it. And the plot develops well throughout the chapters.

Pregnant For The Ruthless Alpha But Secretly An Heiress

Pregnant For The Ruthless Alpha But Secretly An Heiress

My breath hitched, and I held her longer than I should have. ‎ ‎“Thank you,” she said softly, her cheeks flushed as she pulled back. ‎ ‎I cleared my throat, taking the book from her. “Careful.” ‎ ‎The title caught my attention instantly. Legend of the Seals. ‎ ‎My pulse quickened. I opened it quickly and motioned for her to look with me. The old ink drawings showed three tribes kneeling before an Alpha King. ‎ ‎I began reading aloud. “Three tribes swore allegiance to the Alpha King, binding themselves in oath to protect his bloodline. In return, the Alpha promised them peace and protection. When the time of greatest darkness would come, the tribes would rise again and fight by his side.”

Awkward Marriage

Awkward Marriage

“Do you still pretend to be in different places?” “When I read, I do. It’s the cheapest way to travel.” “So why is Greece your first choice?” She shrugged. “I went through a period when I was sixteen where I read a lot of Greek literature. I was fascinated with the mythology which is interwoven into a lot of their work. I noticed that you are reading The Iliad. When I read that three years ago, I had difficulty getting through the description of every soldier that was dying, but once the focus of the book changed to Achilles and Hector and how the Greek gods were influencing the Trojan War, I couldn’t put it down. I will say that the Greeks were very creative.”

“I mean it, Lila. Go back now.” “I can help,” Lila called out as she struggled to keep up with Jasper. She knew that she was risking going into labor by forcing her body to move in such a way, but she had no intention of being left behind in that big house. She had no idea who would win that battle. Without Jasper, there were only a few servants who resented her and undoubtedly would do nothing to protect her from the vampires if the need arose. She was better off sticking with Jasper, no matter the consequences.

Omega (Book 2)

Omega (Book 2)

“If they wanted us to be that way, it'll be wickedness. Besides, the more angry one can become, the stronger physically they are for the duration the anger lasts. They just don't want us to show signs of weakness.” “I think I understand better now. Lest you are run over by another clan that has an Alpha that looks stronger, yeah?” “That is it exactly.” The both of them walked down the corridor, only coming in contact with two other students. ‘Citadel K’ was imprinted on the door in a bright colour intended to catch the attention of everyone that steps into it before they did. “What's so special about this classroom?” Harold asked. “It should be placed downstairs like the others.”
