The Dark Protector

The Dark Protector

**This is the second book in the Elemental Dragon series. While it can be read as a standalone book, references will be made to the first book, The Arena. As I step off Tana’s penthouse balcony, I shift, flying away from what I just heard. Tana, the last fire dragon, has been claimed. And by a Lycan no less. I can’t believe she fell to him. She knew he was her mate, but being mated and being claimed are two very different things.

can not wait to dig into this story! couldnt put the first one down! have read the Guardians series, doing this elemental dragon series, then going I for the next generation of Guardians....Love your Books Cooper!
N.Savage
This is book number 2. It does not disappoint. There is no loss of momentum in this series. The characters continue to grow and evolve. Never a dull chapter. Cooper really did an excellent job setting up the series with places to go and more characters to introduce. Brilliant.

The Alpha's dragon Flame

The Alpha's dragon Flame

“You will learn.” My stomach sank. Was this really what I had to do to become a Dragon Rider? Endure this pompous lecture about a bunch of overgrown lizards? “We begin with the First Age of Scales,” Ramsey announced, opening the book and running a long, bony finger down a faded page. “The dragons—the true, original, majestic dragons—were not the brutes you see now. They were the architects of the elemental world. Take the Great Wyrm, Typhon…”

Surrogate of the Sleeping Dragon

Surrogate of the Sleeping Dragon

I skimmed through the pages, fascinated by the intricate details of their scales and the way they breathed fire. The second book I opened was even more fascinating, filled with stories about dragon riders and their elemental powers. In another book I read, the world of dragons and fire mages unfolded before me. Fire mages could be friends, lovers, and even mates of their chosen dragons. Because they were considered just as strong as dragons? I couldn't help but feel intrigued as I read about the deep bond between fire mages and their dragons. It was a relationship that went beyond just companionship or ownership. It was a deep connection that allowed them to work together in harmony, using t

The Dragons of Edon

The Dragons of Edon

They dressed in white, a counterpart to the order of the Black Knights and honoring Nayara’s bright scales. There came a time, however, when the forces of both humanity and Dragon would be tested, though not in the way any of them might have expected. Neyalha, the Dragon Mother, ageless and seemingly exceedingly wise, grew more and more restless. Her mate Gheyaral did not understand. Together they had created this world, and from his perspective all was proceeding well. Yet Neyalha continued to grow more and more unsettled as she observed the actions of the life she had seeded so many ages before.

Dragon-kissed

Dragon-kissed

“Some of the dragon lords were shrewd and used other dragons as body doubles to divert risks from themselves. The dragon kings did them one better. They mastered the ability to scatter their essence or spirit and then bond it within the cells of a human individual. I’m guessing when the Fire from Heaven struck, the four dragon kings hid themselves in the blood of certain jōnins, to be then passed down to their descendants. Now in the Time of Man, the jōnin or their child who carries the spirit of a dragon king within them… they should be the one called Dragonkist.” “Oh… my… kami,” Aki mumbled. “How do you know all these?” “Believe it or not, I read about it in a two-hundred-year-old book wri

Redemption of The Dragon Prince

Redemption of The Dragon Prince

[Carnelia] I never expected that the name that would spring from her lips would be the same as the name I first encountered at the beginning of this adventure, in the pages of a children’s book read to me by my mate before I even understood what a mate really was. Even before I knew what it was to be a dragon, that name had importance to me. That book was the first book I ever read. My name, Carnelia, was picked from its pages. Oaestr is the mother of all dragonkind. The first of us. Surely she isn’t that Oaestr. I’m not even sure that she was ever anything more than a fantasy story told to hatchlings to help them make sense of the confusing world we live in.

anniversary, holding the book we had made the year she turned three: a hardcover picture book titled The Warrior Queen and Her Dragon Daddy. It has illustrations of me bald and fierce in a hospital bed, Killian with a shaved head reading children’s books to my belly, Aurora tiny in an incubator with a cape. The last page shows the three of us on the swing under this very tree, the words: And they lived bravely ever after. Rory reads it aloud in her dramatic five-year-old voice, complete with sound effects. When she gets to the part where “the dragon daddy burned the bad contracts,” Killian pretends to breathe fire and all the kids lose their minds.

The Gentle Dragon

The Gentle Dragon

“Fenian, dragon riders are an elite group. Only those who are worthy can claim a dragon. Make sure you know that you are worthy of her before you try to claim her. And if she does shift into her dragon form, be prepared for the fight of your life.” After answering Fenian’s questions, I go to the hospital to check on Kenzo. He’s awake, but weak after his shift. Everett is giving him IV fluids, but he’s already looking much better. I head to my office and begin writing up a curriculum for dragon claiming and then one for riders. Cedric, Merethyl, Ishir, and Everett will have to put the full curriculum together. I just add points that I think they should include. It’s late afternoon when Everet
