The Rejected Goddess

The Rejected Goddess

"Roosevelt, lost in madness, stared with eyes full of bloodlust. Eloise smiled, mocking him. 'I told you I would ruin you, Your Majesty. May bitterness and sorrow be your eternal companions.'" Micha's brows tightened. "She provoked a man who already lost everything. That's suicide." The next lines formed slowly, dramatically. A roar shook the skies. Not human. Not beast. Ancient. "A dragon appeared. Black scales, silver eyes, wings stretching wider than any castle. It landed with pride, lowering itself before Roosevelt." Both of us froze. A dragon. A real dragon. Even the book seemed to tremble on the page. The dark-winged creatures bowed. The dragon bowed to Roosevelt.

Phenomenal read this was! The entire series is a work of art, truly one of the best on this app, but this one had so much anticipation around it and certainly did not let us down. Absolutely amazing job, author! Cannot wait for the next one! Please keep the series going! Lol Amazing job, author :)

This book is a tear jerker, but also touching. It has a fabulous balance of adventure and emotion. All the pieces come together. Cooper set this series up with great skill. I could not read fast enough. Waiting for a chapter to post was brutal. Brilliant

The Alpha's Dragon

she said that but she didn't want to admit her inability to resist reading the book. It...called to her. She sat on the steps, sword now placed across her knees, as she opened the book. The words spilled into her mind like sunflower seeds. Valia Rostrag. A dragon who was incomplete. Hair black as night, kissed with streaks of impossible green, eyes like oceans that could drown a kingdom.

The Deal in a Wedding Dress

The Deal in a Wedding Dress

anniversary, holding the book we had made the year she turned three: a hardcover picture book titled The Warrior Queen and Her Dragon Daddy. It has illustrations of me bald and fierce in a hospital bed, Killian with a shaved head reading children’s books to my belly, Aurora tiny in an incubator with a cape. The last page shows the three of us on the swing under this very tree, the words: And they lived bravely ever after. Rory reads it aloud in her dramatic five-year-old voice, complete with sound effects. When she gets to the part where “the dragon daddy burned the bad contracts,” Killian pretends to breathe fire and all the kids lose their minds.

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

My expectations of hefty magic tomes full of spells were quickly dashed. Laney’s idea of books was limited to fairy tales about princesses and knights and, of course, magic. Not exactly what I had in mind. As far as she was concerned, if it didn’t interest her, it didn’t exist. “This one’s really good,” she informed me, holding up a thin novel called Loved By Two Dragons. “He’s a dragon, but he’s also a handsome boy. But his brother’s even more handsome, and he’s an even bigger dragon!”

The dragons unidentified Mate

The dragons unidentified Mate

Drake produced some thick yellowish-green leaves from his pant pocket. He crushed the leaves gently between his thick palms until a greenish liquid ooze from the leaves. He then gently applied that liquid on to her forehead nose and her chin. Nyra looked at him with gratitude. 'I thought all the dragons are bad' She thought. Her grandmother always warned her to stay away from them. The dragons are the rulers of the world. They will not treat humans well. That's what she learned from her childhood.

Really excellent story so far. Beginning is a heart-wrenching twist that creates a brilliant setup for resolution. Grammar has some issues but the writing is still far better than most books on GoodNovel. Writer struggles with telling rather than showing in active voice but that takes practice.
JoJo
Author:Although I have not completed the book yet; I love it because the main characters ARE finally portrayed how it should. Characters are not falling for schemes, following true feelings, and their Bond. Drake, a true hero and mate finally with his head well placed on his shoulders. Great job!

Mate to The Dragon

Mate to The Dragon

“That’s partly what I wanted to add to the book. I didn’t remember until I saw it the other day.” I watch her flip through pages covered in drawings and diagrams. She pauses at a section in the middle of the book. “The red flame you saw, they call that the Phoenix. It’s the sign of a successful Awakening,” she says, pointing to a page filled with writing. “What’s an Awakening?” I ask. “It’s a very, very old war ritual. They used to use it on mortally wounded dragons, it heals them and brings them back physically stronger than before,” she says.

The Dragon Prince’s Obsession

The Dragon Prince’s Obsession

I muttered. As the news spread throughout the dragon clan, whispers and murmurs filled the air. Some were in awe of Drogo's unexpected allegiance to Freya, while others expressed doubt and skepticism. Questions swirled in my mind, and I knew I needed to confront Drogo and seek answers. She was the only one who could give me a comforting answer filled with nothing but the Truth. Dragons aren't just flying beings, they are magical creatures who foresee the future and they never lie. They would always stand on the truth.

Dragons of Chaos

Dragons of Chaos

“Master, what would you like us to do? You need only whisper your command, and we will follow.” Evrah grabbed the wood harder, her gaze darting quickly from left to right, trying to get a closer look. She spotted a big shimmering black dragon that seemed to be looking right at her. The big eye blinked, its big frame fidgeting a bit. A huge black and silver mass of scales and muscles sat directly across from her, its ginormous purple eyes had her dead to rites, and they both knew it. “Please don't give me way,” she whispered, shaking from fear. She cursed that her curiosity had gotten her noticed. The dragon blinked a final time and averted its eyes somewhere else as if it had heard her whisp

Frequently Asked Questions

As someone who spends a lot of time diving into fantasy novels, I can confidently say that 'The Dragon Riding Book' is actually a bit of a mystery. There isn't a widely known book with that exact title, but if you're referring to 'Eragon' by Christopher Paolini, that's a fantastic series about dragon riders. Paolini started writing it as a teenager, and it grew into a massive epic filled with dragons, magic, and adventure.

Another possibility is 'Dragonflight' by Anne McCaffrey, which is part of the 'Dragonriders of Pern' series. McCaffrey’s world-building is legendary, blending sci-fi and fantasy in a way that feels fresh even decades later. If you’re looking for something more recent, 'Fourth Wing' by Rebecca Yarros has taken the fantasy community by storm with its intense dragon-riding academy setting. Each of these authors brings something unique to the table, whether it’s Paolini’s youthful energy, McCaffrey’s pioneering vision, or Yarros’s modern twist.
