With a satisfied hum, he chucked the book behind his shoulder where it was swallowed up by that strange, shimmering magic.

She didn’t understand why her father would send something like that but she read the books anyway to pass some time. Most of the books were about how wolves can turn into humans and if they find their mate, they are bound to protect them for the rest of their life. Marjorie use to fantasize about finding a wolf, hoping that he is her mate and taking her away somewhere she can finally become happy for the rest of her life. Although as she grows up, she starts thinking that her fantasy was only for children and she’s not a child anymore who should believe in wolf stories or the Alpha among the wolves.
