Author’s Concession!!!!! Beautiful readers deciding to give my book a chance, I’m here to warn you that factors involved in this books are surely triggering. Some characters re surely not going to be designed to your taste, but I assure that to change once they go through a development. That afore-stated point referenced the book’s Male Lead. You’re going to hate him, you’re going to want to punch him. However, I implore you greatly not to dump the book because of him, be patient and watch him beg me and you for forgiveness, watch him grovel down for our acceptance.

But, this book won"t tell such a guy. But, I have a figure of a hero on my mind. He"s not too strong not even good-looking, he"s not stupid not even smart. Seriously, he"s the protagonist of this simple story, and just in case, I'll take a part in this story as well to make sure the protagonist won"t mess the story up as I concern. "Hey, you idiot! Hurry up! I've prepared myself for a long time, you moron!" Someone exclaimed behind me.

I commented, being quite intrigued by the novel I was reading. “Who do you want her to be with?” Jason asked. “As the book shows, Will Herondale is a hot-headed being who acts first before thinking and is all emotional, unlike Jem Carstairs who is synonymous with calm despite life's adversities. Which one would you go with?”

That didn’t sound convincing at all but saying it out loud helped a bit. After I recovered from absolutely pessimistic, I drank my coffee-slash-breakfast and got back to my writing. I choose not to thoroughly adapt my book character on Toms handsome looks. I did it for the sake of my sanity. After my “marvelous dream”, I knew that picturing him as a murderer living next door will lead me straight to agoraphobia. I was going to focus on the personality… at least for a time being. I spend the entire day on writing my story up to the point of murdering my very own Mr. Preston by the main character.

However, there will be character development, for both the MC and the ML.😩

He picked up a thick book with a dragon on the cover. "I want something with a hero who's a misfit. Someone everyone thinks is weak but turns out to be the strongest. Because... I think I'm like that."

"C'mon don't be like that Harley" she flapped her hand my way, still reading "it's just that this book is interesting." I rolled my eye. Trust Petra to like books like that. Come to think of it the main character somehow has a similar personality to Petra. The writer must have met my dear friend whilst writing the classes book.

I made an organized portfolio of everything I was going to go over in class. By the time I finished, I only had a few hours left until dusk, so I started to write the next chapter in my book. I started on a new character; a female book worm who had large ambitions and an even larger heart. She made friends easily and was never judged too harshly. She was the perfect character for my male lead, a heroic gentleman who would do anything for those he loved. With her intelligence and his strengths, they can conquer anything. As I reread the dialogue I created between the characters, I realized there were a lot of similarities between these characters and Tessa and myself.

I chose to make Charlotte flawed because I wanted to take a different route to create her. A lot of the novels I’ve read online choose to make their female protagonists the epitome of what some people consider all the good qualities a woman should have: they are kind, relatable, selfless, sometimes to a fault. They let their antagonists step all over them until later on in the story, they gain confidence and step up to the situations life puts in their way.

They even went so far as to officially leave a comment that included the time at which they finished reading the novel. The final comment read, "Goodbye, Violet. You're the female protagonist slash evil female side character that I've enjoyed the most this year." I laughed at that. What made someone a female protagonist versus an evil female side character? Did one have to be weak and kind while the other cruel and hellbent on fighting over a man? Only someone who wasn't fulfilled in their own way would be that desperate for love. It was true that I wasn't a kind, innocent woman. I was driven by profit and greed. Sometimes, I even resorted to somewhat unscrupulous methods to get what I wante
