Claire's POV： Leo and I walked back from the grocery store, a reusable bag heavy with greens swinging between us. He launched into his favorite evening ritual: the dinner menu announcement. "Garlic roasted broccoli! Creamy mushroom pasta! Maple-glazed carrots! Lemon-herb chicken! Oh, and garlic bread!" he declared with the gravity of a maître d'. I raised an eyebrow. "That's a five-course feast for two. You sure your stomach's up for the job?"

Pizza is probably one of my comfort foods when I am feeling down or just want to be happy. I kept on eating, not really conscious of my weight since even though I ate too much, it didn't really affect my weight. My stomach felt like it was going to explode from fullness, but there were still several slices of pizza left that I couldn't finish, so I decided to have them wrapped to take home and reheat later. After finishing my meal, I decided to visit a bookstore to look for some books to read during my free time. I saw an English book written by JK Rowling called "Casual Vacancy," which I had heard a lot about, so I decided to buy it. I also bought a couple of books written by Johanna Lindse

Some things needed only to be lived. He closed the journal. The afternoon was grey and quiet. Don was reading the food book now—the slim volume about Thessaloniki's cuisine—with the same attention he had given to the Byzantine history. The reading was different, Ernest could tell. The food book was being read for different reasons, with a different quality of attention. Don was not studying the food book. He was anticipating it. The difference was subtle but real. The Byzantine history was about understanding. The food book was about wanting.

“No, seriously. What’s in it?” She shrugged. “Root vegetables. Bone broth. A whisper of fennel. And magic.” I leaned back, letting the warmth settle in my chest. “I used to think dinners like this only happened in stories. Or TV shows.” June raised her glass. “To the weirdest roommates anyone could ever have.” “To Bella,” Harper added. “For choosing something that’s hers. And letting us be part of it.” I clinked my glass against theirs. “To us. The almost-normal life we never thought we’d get.”

“You looked, I don’t know, peaceful.” “Honestly, this book is terrible,” Audrey said, holding up some thriller that I vaguely recognized. “I don’t know why the hell Annabelle has it on her shelf, but I fear for any of the recommendations she’s been giving out at the bookstore.” I suddenly realized where I recognized the book from. “Oh, that’s the one that all the book clubs were reading a while back,” I said. “She probably only got it because of that.” “Oh, that makes more sense,” Audrey said. There was an awkward silence. “So, are you going to sit down or what?”

Rebekah walked into the living room with a dryer. "Oh, you got Pizza." "Yeah, I ordered because Eve only had noodles." We all reclined on the floor, encircling the pizza on the table as we are in silence until Pheobe broke the silence. "Eve, are there any movies we could watch, specifically romance, the night wouldn't be perfect without a movie." "You know I don't keep movies, but I do have a documentary called the secret life of the brain." "Are you being sarcastic right now?"

I slip it from the rest, concealing it behind me. "It's alright, we don't care either way if you read it," he says, vacuous, without gazing upward from his undertaking. He is by all accounts inspecting the spines of each book, searching for a specific title that has a place with the book he wants. I move over to his side, noticing now the genuine likenesses between Felix and Liam; their almost indistinguishable looks aside from the scar and the hair. This time he hasn't behaved like a downer, which is an or more, and furthermore a side of him that is enjoyably new to me. He grins as he separates the book we want, a dusty one that isn't thick in any way. The side peruses Summer Kitchen: 100 T

"Someone introduced me to a reading app as well as a new genre of a story, so...the book title iss...THE BETRAYED LUNA'S REVENGE by Purple Ink.'' "Wow, it sounds amazing and I'm kinda jealous you're not reading my book but it's okay, you need to try out new genres too." Alicia sighed. "All done, now let's go downstairs and eat before Diane gets even more upset." She chuckled, helped Diane down and they all left the room. When they arrived at the dining, Alicia helped Diane to her seat, May also took a seat, then Alicia began dishing out the food. "Mommy I want to try the soup first." Diane said, pointing at the bowl of soup.

They eat silently. After lunch they went to the shops. Alicia is excited because she likes buying stuff for Elise. They enter an expensive store of dress but Elise didn't like the idea. She said that she does not need it and she would rather buy books than expensive dresses. Alicia is broken hearted but didn't pursue the thought. She just ordered a few dresses and got out of the shop. Apparently, the store they went to is strange. The book store is bigger inside and feels more like a museum. Is this the central bookstore? Elise can't help herself to be amazed. A spectacular view of endless shelves and magic lights hanging on like a little lamb.

The menu hadn't changed, not the names, not the ingredients and definitely not the price. "I love Joe's milkshakes" Alex said nervously. We sat in silence until the food came. I'd ordered my usual, the loaded toastie which was full of veggies and a large triple chocolate milkshake. "so..." he began "what's going on..." "Remember how I told you about the book I'd read..." He nodded "yes the fantasy one about building mates" "Alex." I said plainly, trying to sound annoyed. "Well the book is real... true... so I have to decide between you who is my determined mate or Prince Grey who is my chemistry mate..."
