eww. I figured tonight was my one chance to visit The Club before anyone knew I had come to town, so here I am. Last time I was here, I wasn't old enough to enter. I've been curious about this place for years. So now is my chance to check out the infamous B D S M sex club. I've been coming to this sunny part of Florida for years now and people talk in town talk about this place like it's some kind of taboo. Maybe it is for some but I grew up knowing the people involved. Good people. So what if they like their sex a little kinky? There was a signboard of its club name by the entrance with a gothic font. What greeted him was a small reception with a girl sitting in front of the computer. She smiled when she saw him enter. "Good afternoon! What can I do for you?" she greeted, lifting her hands from the computer to attend to him. "I'd like to read something," Art replied, sliding his ID on the counter. The girl took one glance at it and smiled again before looking directly into his eyes. "The first floor books are all free for use and borrowing, but they contain limited information," she said. "You are one of the newcomers, right? If you don't have a club yet, consider joining ours."

I’d make some new friends, and if that didn’t work out, I’d still have my coursework and classes. The book club met twice a week to accommodate for classes and the time it’d take to read the books, but it went from nine PM to midnight or later, just like a writing workshop—or so I was told. They were more than happy to let me join in, much to my relief, and were very welcoming. One of the girls in the club, Alice, talked to me as everyone waited for whoever volunteered their car for the evening to arrive.

“You’re one of those conspiracy people.” “I am,” she said proudly. “Thank you for noticing.” I poured tea into mugs and added sugar, too much, as usual. Bailey watched, horrified. “Sweet tea,” she said, sounding like she’d discovered a crime. “You’re a sweet tea person.” “Yes,” I said, defensive on principle. Bailey leaned closer, eyes gleaming. “Okay. So here’s what we do. We start a book club.” I blinked. “What?” “A book club,” she repeated, like it was obvious. “For romance. Specifically romantic fantasy. Specifically.” she lowered her voice again, conspiratorial “ the ones with wolves.”

“You’re totally the leader of our book club; you write her. Maybe it’ll be called The Last Werewolf Ever: For Real. What do you think?” I laughed. “Probably. Speaking of, I should get the next book club scheduled, shouldn’t I? We have so many theories to discuss.” “I’m open tonight,” Kaitlynn offered readily. “I have plenty of ideas of what could happen next.” “Tonight?” I bit my lip and winced, recalling how Brick had said we were going to enjoy his hot tub together this evening when he’d kissed me goodbye at my door. “Um, I can’t tonight. But maybe this weekend?”

After Monica and Nana decided to join the literature club, they talked to each other about what the literature club would do and the schedule of the club. Miu told them that the club would be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, two days a week, after school, and she told her that they would mostly read a book, gather together, and discuss each other about a book, in other words, they were mostly free. "This club is really free," Nana said with a speechless expression since she didn't expect that the literature club would be free and there was nothing to do besides reading a book and discussing a book.
