The nanny's summer

The nanny's summer

Everyone asked at the same time and Joel felt it was awkward, "it was meant to be your graduation gift but anyways, it's not too late or early to tell you now" He smiled and Beatrice was more shocked, she couldn't believe what was happening. "Okay, so, can we book the first month, I want different wear deigns, I don't care about the amount" Mark said as he could tell what Joel was trying to do. Mark smiled inwardly as Joel's possessiveness was about the chart. "Just contact me directly," Joel said and Benita chuckled. "Why don't you give me your number?" Benita asked and Beatrice was so pleased, "sure"

Where The Summer Wind Blows (book One)

Where The Summer Wind Blows (book One)

“Totally thrives on this. Loves every second.” I nod. “Yep. And Josh… well, he’s chaos incarnate.” We both laugh softly, glancing at the boys and then back at Gavin, noticing the subtle way he shifts his weight, always quietly aware, letting the antics play out around him. “And that,” Gemma whispers, grinning, “is why summer will never be boring with this crew.” I chuckle, letting the thought settle in. “Never boring… definitely not.” Eben stretches dramatically, still dripping, and grins. “By the way… bonfire tonight. Full-on chaos. Fire, drinks, music—the works. Don’t worry, it’s going to be wild.”

Coach Alex: Book 1 of the Alaska Aces Hockey Series

Natasha The final bell rings and kids squeal as they push the front doors open and race to the freedom that summer break brings. “Bye, Ms. Knight. What are you doing this summer?” Sarah, one of my avid readers asks as she walks slowly toward the door. “I’ll be reading. What else?” I tell her. “And actually, if you're interested, the library has summer reading group Wednsdays at noon. So come see me.” I have a feeling she doesn't have the greatest home life, or social life for that matter. I wonder if she has many friends.

Memoir of Summer

Memoir of Summer

"For meeting? How long?" "Ren, I'm thinking of bringing you with me." He stopped scrolling, halting in the middle of a digital book he saved to read. "Sure. How long?" She went silent for a while. "For summer. I have meetings to do at home. Most of them couldn't come to Canada and Japan seems to be our main place." "Okay. I'll tell Noah." "Preliminaries start in summer in Japan. If we are unable to attend, you can stay a little longer to see the start of the Spring Tournament."

An Unexpected Summer

An Unexpected Summer

Arya We only have a week left of being at the cabin before we need to go back to our real lives. My book is nearly done! Which is amazing! It usually takes me longer to write, but I think this one was easier because of the experiences I’ve had this summer.

Chosen Mates, Stolen Fates

Chosen Mates, Stolen Fates

“No problem. I’ll just bring some to the table and read with you, if that’s alright.” “By all means,” Benjamin said. He left me alone with the shelf, retreating to the table and his notebook. I debated silently with myself, tempted beyond all reason to grab the three books from the shelf. But instead, I grabbed three texts that I had no interest in, red and black and brown, and brought them to the table. We read in silence for nearly two hours. But as my eyes scanned the pages, I digested nothing, barely even seeing the words on the pages. I had to remind myself to turn the pages to make it look like I was reading, all the while debating my next move.

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

“You really interested or are you just making conversation?” “I’m interested, Lib, I’ve always cared about what you do at the school.” Satisfied with his answer, she said, “I’m gearing up for the summer reading program.” “Betcha already got quite a few kids signed up for that.” “Yes, actually I do. How’d you know?” Quinn gave her a noncommittal shoulder hitch. “Because you’re you. You never do anything half-assed.” “My, my, aren’t you full of compliments tonight?”

As I look at my year in review, this author and book collection has been monumental in reigniting my hunger for reading. I can't track most of the books from this app easily for my year end count but in my heart this book means the most. I wish I could buy a printed version of each of these. .........

Love this well written book! Thoughts & emotions are conveyed beautifully! The author makes you feel like you know the characters intimately w/o being excessive or mundane. Hot & steamy w/o crude vulgarity! I wish we could give gems at the end of chapter but that’s the app, not the author’s fault.

Knocked Up By My Brother’s Best Friend

Knocked Up By My Brother’s Best Friend

The bar area wasn’t even completely finished, but it was close. I’d always wanted the Sparks to be a cozy spot for book lovers, and it was slowly becoming known for that in the community. As the school semester ended, there was a high chance parents would begin trickling into the store with their children’s summer reading lists. We had a thriving library community in town, but there were only so many copies of each book, so people still came in to purchase some. Grampa and I organized an entire section dedicated to the reading list Sean supplied for us.

In The Summer, Where Cicadas Buzz

In The Summer, Where Cicadas Buzz

The snow-white petals bloomed delicately against my pale fingertips, and that memory had pushed him to leave that small house in a hurry. He continued along the path, but it seemed endless. Anxiety clawed at his chest, and he pressed his hand over his heart, feeling it pound violently. Before the hypnosis ended, Ethan found himself awake. The psychiatrist held the notebook from the session. Words filled the pages. [Fall University. Going to Fall University. Take Sadie to Fall University. Fall University on Richmond Road.] “Mr. Jones, your memory seems to be jogging. I suggest you visit Fall University,” the psychiatrist said, laying the notes in front of him.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve been keeping a close eye on updates. This year, the program is set to kick off in early June, typically around the first week. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young readers to dive into books and earn rewards. The exact date hasn’t been officially announced yet, but historically, it aligns with the start of summer break for most schools.

I remember last year’s program started on June 5th, and it featured a mix of classic and contemporary titles. The program usually runs for about eight weeks, giving kids plenty of time to complete their reading journals. Barnes & Noble often partners with publishers to highlight new releases, making it a great way to discover fresh stories. Keep an eye on their website or social media for the official announcement, as they sometimes offer early registration perks.
