’ I ask. I can’t assume. Dragons do have several animal enemies, one, in particular, loves the taste of dragon eggs – sneak-snakes. The huge snakes live in the areas where the dragons nest. I’m not sure if the dragons drew the sneak-snakes because of where they choose to nest, or if the area was already their home and it is just bad luck for the dragons. Either way, there are always sneak-snakes around the dragon nests. It’s another reason the silvers are standing sentinel. They won’t let the snakes get their queen. ‘Yes,’ Bymjym growls, blowing fire in his anger as we fly.

Lily's pov. Creed steps away; breathing deeply before I hear bones cracking, reforming, and taking shape of his dragon. Black smoke curls around him before he stands there in all of Hunter's glory, his beautiful black dragon. Razor sharp, clawed wings. He gives a big playful roar before nudging me with his big dragon head. ‘Get on our mate, now, Lily.’ Sapphire whispers in my mind. I take a deep breath, roll my shoulders telling myself “I can do this.”

“Master, what would you like us to do? You need only whisper your command, and we will follow.” Evrah grabbed the wood harder, her gaze darting quickly from left to right, trying to get a closer look. She spotted a big shimmering black dragon that seemed to be looking right at her. The big eye blinked, its big frame fidgeting a bit. A huge black and silver mass of scales and muscles sat directly across from her, its ginormous purple eyes had her dead to rites, and they both knew it. “Please don't give me way,” she whispered, shaking from fear. She cursed that her curiosity had gotten her noticed. The dragon blinked a final time and averted its eyes somewhere else as if it had heard her whisp

“Can’t wait to see it. So, what do you say I help you stock up? You’ll need supplies for all that serious art.” He guided me to an aisle filled with drawing books, pencils, and every crayon color I could imagine. I picked out a big sketchbook with blank pages, perfect for my next dragon masterpiece. Uncle Liam even helped me choose crayons and pencils, ones in colors like “sunset orange” and “mermaid teal.” Once I had my art supplies, we found Rhett’s favorite section—books about dinosaurs. His face lit up as he ran his fingers over the covers, picking out a thick book filled with dinosaur pictures and facts, plus a few comic books about a dino superhero.

Hello, everyone! This is XSkylar19. It has been a very interesting ride for me while writing Bane of the Dragons because (fun fact) this was my very first dragon genre. I know some of you probably disliked how everything turned out or how fastpaced everything happened but know that this was intentional as I couldn't drag the story on. Anyway, while this book becomes the first book for dragon genre, it certainly wasn't my first book in the fantasy genre.

I stepped out carefully, and then walked slowly over to the Candle Dragon. It was fairly small, and a glowing, crystal-like white in colour. It was inlaid with delicate carvings, all of which looked like tribal patterns and intricate artwork. It depicted the elements: flame, wind, sea, and mountains. In its centre was a thick pillar candle. I wanted to wonder why, exactly, it was called the Candle Dragon, but I let the thought dissipate. I needed to keep my mind clear.

"You're Charles!? You're Charles that ran that camp back- about- four years ago! You getting back into business?" "Actually no, I just want to buy a dragon for myself and my partner." I laughed softly as his smile grew. "Wow, you should have said something to Henry on the phone! I'm going to give you a discount just for you- Charles. We'll give you one for about six hundred. Twenty five grand is too much for someone of your talent." He walked up and shook my hand. "It's an honor. Do you need a list of information for the Artic dragons? We'll throw in a booklet."

Mina said in a voice Blaze didn't recognized, the dragon on her arm was moving up and down her arm like a snake. Mina turned away from him, outstretched her arm, the dragon tattoo jumped out of her arm, and landed right in front of her. It was the size of a horse, Mina used it's wing to climb onto her. The purple mini dragon took off towards Charms, her dragon setting werevamps on fire as she went. “I KNOW YOU FUCKING LYING, WHERE THE HELL YOU GET A DRAGON HORSE FROM AND WHY THE HELL WE AIN'T GET ONE!” Ji’lahni yelled, as Mina flew over their heads killing the werevamps and aliens that were surrounding them.

“Now girls, I am a Dhampir like you but, I am a little different. Do you know what a familiar is?” The two older girls nodded. “Well, I have a familiar,” Seraphina pulled the sleeve of her dress down to show them her marking. “Can you guess what it is?” “A Flutterby,” one of the toddlers shouted as she threw her hands up in the air. “A very good guess,” Seraphina lightly tapped her on the nose. “But not quite-“ “-A dragon!” one of the older girls gasped as she stared at the markings. “Yes, very good. So, I am going to shift into my dragon and you are going to fly home on my back with the others. Now my dragon is very big but, she’s very kind and gentle so, you don’t need to be scared, okay?”

I shook it and something clinked inside. I set it down and tipped it to look at the three images painted on its surface. The first was an Aztec depiction of a bird rising from a fire made of thick outlines, simplistic and garish. The second was a dragon breathing fire, its long serpent-like body undulating half submerged in water. Looked Chinese to me. And the third had a Celtic design made of interlocking weaving patterns that formed a wolf howling at the moon. I thought it odd that there were three vastly different cultures represented on the same piece of artwork, but at the same time it didn't surprise me. Mom could have made it in one of the teacher art classes that she went to.
