Holly “There,” Holly whispered, carefully placing the last piece of tape. She smiled at her work. The wrapping paper was neatly folded around the corners and she’d even made the tape look nice. She wrote Nathan’s name in neat print on the corner. It was possibly the best wrapping she’d ever done on a present. It was just a copy of A Christmas Carol, but it seemed like the perfect Christmas Eve present for Nathan. She’d agonized over which book to get him for the Christmas Eve tradition, but had finally settled on this one.

SLOANE I woke up on December 28th with a kids’ menu pinned to my fridge and the distinct feeling I had lost my mind. The crayon looked even more ridiculous in daylight. THE HOLIDATE PACT in Jackson’s careful block letters. Twelve holidays. Three-second kiss maximum. No feelings. No exceptions. Our signatures at the bottom, like we’d just bought a house, instead of agreeing to a year-long performance. I stared at it while the coffee brewed, waiting for the panic to hit.

No one has found the bodies yet, though, so theres still a lingering hope out there that they're alive. I sigh as I crawl under the thick quilt, flicking on the lamo beside me as I pull out my latest find at Barnes and Nobels: The Winter Garden by the famous Kristin Hannah. This woman's books are truly amazing. Then, after an hour long reading session, I find my eyes beginning to shut against my will, so I set down the book on the bedside table and shut off the lamp. ~ The next morning...

Marissa felt a surge of gratitude, knowing that these gifts were not just material items but symbols of the love and support that surrounded her. Among the gifts, one particularly caught her attention—a beautifully bound book filled with handwritten recipes from the village's oldest residents. This was a treasure she had always wanted, as cooking had been a cherished pastime shared with her mother. As Marissa flipped through the pages, she could almost hear the laughter of her family and friends echoing through the years.

“Since you’re back, are you going to pick the next book?” I blinked. “Me?” “Of course,” she said, smiling. “You’ve been gone. You deserve the honor.” Everyone nodded expectantly. I looked down at the stack of books on the table, my fingers brushing across their covers. My hand paused on a novel about love, identity and societal expectations. This book will give them a glimpse of what I passed through during my absence. I smiled softly. “How about this one?” Brent groaned. “Oh no, not another depressing tragedy. Can’t we read something with a hopeful romance?”

Here, I can truly unwind, surrounded by nothing but the serene beauty of nature. I reach for the novel lying beside me, eager to lose myself in its pages. Reading has always been my escape, a way to transport myself to another world far removed from my own. As I immerse myself in the story, the worries and stresses of everyday life fade away, replaced by a sense of calm and contentment. Days blend into one another as I lose track of time, my phone lying forgotten in my hotel room. I've made a conscious decision to disconnect from the outside world, to live in the moment and savour every precious minute of this holiday.

I asked him. “There are a lot of people you don't know. At least I can protect you if someone wants to attack you. I won't repeat the mistakes of the past.” “I pulled Terrence's arm closer to me, I clasped his hand. “That sounds like a sweet poison.” “I'm serious about this. The bookstore will be crowded on holidays. If they know you're out with just a woman. They're going to plan crazy things.” My stomach growled. It turns out that my fullness a moment ago was only temporary.

Hii everyone...!! Hope you all must be doing good!! So yeah I just wanted to inform you people is that , This book is going to be a long book. Really long. May be more than 80 chapters or something.
