Bound to the Villain who craves me

Bound to the Villain who craves me

Another hand was raised in a second. “Go on,” Prof Odessa nudged. “Spell books are heavy to carry around. Does that mean they have to take it everywhere to do magic?” “Well,” Prof Odessa cleared her throat, closing her teaching box with everything she had brought out earlier completely in. “Due to advanced magic, you could shrink a spell book and turn it into a metal necklace.” My memory went back to that night with Kamari. She had touched that small silver book necklace around her neck before she pushed the table towards me. Was she perhaps a siphon? The other girl who had blocked my view of Kai had that exact necklace too, the black-colored version.

Selling Big, Paid in Pennies

The Hidden Luna Queen

The Hidden Luna Queen

Maeve’s POV Holding the spellbook in my hands, I could feel the power radiating off it. It was amazing that I couldn’t feel the power until the safe was open, but now I’m staring down at it, my heart pounding wildly in my chest. This spellbook once belonged to my mother and it was a book that only an Enigma could use, which meant when my baby was old enough, he’d be able to use this book. It was filled with dark magic and spells that could destroy the entire world if not careful. This was a book that didn’t belong in the hands of King Arlan.

No matter how intriguing this book is, don’t start it unless you’ve checked that it’s been completed, or be prepared for long waits. This is author is trying to write 13 stories at once. Updates are slow and she is stretched too far.

How often are the chapters added? As an avid reader I'm loving the story, but now I'm having to wait for more chapters. The top ups are not cheap so I cannot afford to use them to start another book. Also I hope this book is not short lived, meaning so many unanswered questions involving characters.

My Hockey Alpha Neighbor

I made a mental note to check in on them later. “Another spell I want you to do is moving objects with your mind,” he said, flipping the page in the large book. “Like creating fire, you are going to focus on an object and think about where you want it to go. Spellcasting is all in your mind; some believe the Moon Goddess aids us when we think and believe hard enough.”

Mortal

Mortal

"She didn't think anyone was in here." I lick my lips, feeling oddly drawn to the book. "What is it?" "Something really rare," Alice says. "There are only a few like it in the world. It's called, 'The Secret History of Magic.' It tells the real story of magic. It helps you to understand that there are many ways to look at everything." "Okay," I say. It's starting to feel like I'm stuck in Alice's fantasy. Next thing I know she'll be telling me she knows how to fly.

“I do. What’s your next question?” She checked. “Do you get the Arrow?” “Since I don’t know what that is, it seems safe to assume I don’t.” “It’s the Book of Making You Feel Bad About Yourself. You know, the Spring Well magazine? It’s full of stories about people who are living amazing lives and achieving amazing things while you’re sitting around in your pants playing games.” she paused. “I guess you don’t do that, what with being a billionaire and everything.” “I don’t, no.”

The Reaper's Pet

The Reaper's Pet

Someone cries in their sleep in a similar way. “It is true there are rules that prevent me from directly interfering with human fate. But there are other ways to make it happen. The Big Book is full of general conditions that I always find my way around. For instance, as a prank I can cut the brakes of a car that I calculate will be at a certain place at a certain point in time. It is not an exact thing, mind you. More like trial and error. But it IS one way to bring about the claiming of a life.

It also made sense why they named themselves after the book, it was what brought them into the realisation of a potential threat. Mum went further to say that the book had powers beyond what the mind could understand, and she mentioned that with the book one could skip the necessary balance. “What do you mean by the necessary balance?” I inquired, barely holding my excitement as she told it all to me. “The necessary balance, um, how will I explain this?” She clicked her tongue severally. “It is a simple term that means magic had a price, it always had a price.” Squinting my eyebrows, I said, “Always had a price? What is the price, how much? How do we quantify the….”
