Once Upon a Tryst
I try to reach out again with my shadow form, but the crow’s shadow moves again, blinking away from me just as I am about to grasp it.
“Devona!” I call out, and she lends me her strength, not only grabbing my hand but pushing her energy through me with intention. I feel the power of the three of us mingling and building within me as a focus for the energy. As I push this energy into the shadows I feel my inner darkness rise to envelop us all, including the birds before us, who are no longer visible.
