tread cautiously if you are a plus sized woman or sensitive in any way. Basically the whole story is just dedicated to graphic depictions of domestic abuse & brutal marital rape (the author dedicates multiple chapters to this and also to male lead POV where he cheats on his wife while insulting her)

The Cursed Alpha’s Fake Bride

The Cursed Alpha’s Fake Bride

But when I held it, it felt surprisingly sturdy. Holding my breath, I opened the lid. Inside was a small bookmark, simple and beautiful, with a wolf made of pressed lilies—Canadian Lilies—pressed delicately onto it. The sight made something tighten in my chest, a strange mix of emotions swirling too fast to untangle. Beneath the bookmark was a small card. I pulled it out, flipping it over to read the message written there in Draven’s familiar, precise handwriting: Dinner at 7.

Whisper of the stone heart

Whisper of the stone heart

If it wasn’t for my eyes, I wouldn’t see the magic enveloping it. When I opened it, I was mesmerized by the figures. It talked about The Arcana or more like The Crown of the Arcana, which was its title. There was an introduction in the beginning of the main characters in it. I thought it was a story but I was wrong. The book was about divination or what I got from it. There were twenty two cards of the major arcana, fourteen wands, fourteen cups and fourteen swords.

DEATH REINCARNATE

DEATH REINCARNATE

“The card games.” “Tsk!” clicking his tongue as his confidence overflows together with his pride as the top gambler. He stares at the deck of cards as it represents the games and core of the next book, where the Tarot cards calls, reveal and are laid upon to their world as the inevitable first book is about to end. “Before we start, I shall give you a chance to quit as you know who am I in these kinds of games, don’t you, Jaira?”

“Where did you get that? “Sir Jacob gave it to me.” “Is this..” Leo crossed the distance between them in two steps. With slightly shaking hands he reached and took the card. He turned it over, turned it again. Then, as though his sight alone couldn't be trusted, he raised it slowly to his mouth and bit down hard on the edge. “Oh my God!” he clutched the card against his chest. “This is actually a black card. A real one. There's only ten of these existing. Ten. Do you know what this means?”

Nathan: Branston High Series

Nathan: Branston High Series

We chat again for a while and when Eleanor comes out looking more than happy with her reading, explaining that she's got choices to make coming up in the future, with romance on the horizon, I wonder whether the readings are really meaningful, or whether they're like magazine horoscopes and are vague enough to be interpreted by anyone. "Leanna?" Ms Jewkes gestures for me to come into the room, she passes me a pack of cards and tells me to shuffle them until I feel ready to put them down in three separate piles. The room we're in is quite small, it would be a study in most people's houses, but instead of a desk and a computer, the room is filled with cushions, an inordinate amount of feathers

I typed, hesitating before finally sending the message. "I' ve been here for some time now. Just come to the enclosed area behind the tall bookshelf." The enclosed area behind the tall bookshelf was usually for serious studying and for students who preferred a quieter environment. I saw Liam sitting by the row of literary art books when I arrived. I took the seat across from him and noticed he had a book titled "Romeo and Juliet" in front of him, along with a pen. He gestured toward s the book on the desk. "Where were you? I was so bored that I wrote a whole paragraph to express my anger."

Demon's Obsession - I'm Bound to Him

Demon's Obsession - I'm Bound to Him

No space for breath. Before us, on the table, two neat rows of cards lay perfectly aligned. They hadn’t been there a moment ago. A chill prickled at the back of my neck as I stared at them, my pulse quickening. Each card was identical to the ones I had seen in that nightmarish vision—thick, sleek card, as if newly made of marble, with intricate light blue borders, and in the center, a light blue seven-cornered star burned faintly, as though the ink is pulsing with the very essence of the galaxy.

Falling for Lord Masquerade

Falling for Lord Masquerade

When I was a few paces away from the little girl, I held out the card. "Here you go," I said kindly. Slowly, she stepped closer and timidly took the card. Turning over the thin paper, she examined it breathlessly beneath the light of the lanterns. I waited for a few minutes, curious at the intensity of the little girl's gaze. "It's interesting, isn't it?" I asked at length. The girl looked up at me mutely. "Oddly enough, I found it in a book." This confused her. "Yeah, isn't that weird? Someone used a playing card as a bookmark."
