Behind me, Rome stayed near the entrance, watching quietly. “Do you like this one?” he suddenly asked. I turned slightly. He was pointing toward a specific book resting on one of the nearby shelves. I stepped closer and pulled it out carefully. My eyes widened slightly when I read the title. It was a novel written by Sun the Morning. A love story about the moon and the sun. A quiet memory surfaced inside my mind. I had read this before in my past life. The story had stayed with me for years because of how bittersweet and beautiful it had been.

Joseph felt the wind knocked out of him as he heard the whistle followed by the loudest sound he's ever heard in all his 16 years under the Tau Ceti sun. A whiz and BOOM. Whiz and BOOM. Explosion after explosion came pummeling down onto them. An unending barrage of terrifying heat and sound and fireball crashed all around them.
