CHAPTER ONE Unforgotten Janice gazed through the window of the tinted glass of the land rover as it sped past the busy London street. It was a wet evening in London; the streetlights decorated the street like satellites dotted across the galaxy. The lights from the apartment's windows made it even better- the view was simply breathtaking! This is one of the many things Janice loved about London; aside from the weather, the tea and cake, especially St. Lauren's tea shop is the absolute best!

Lily babbled. The officer chuckled. Alex, however, exhaled slowly through his nose. “You’re representing Knight Enterprises,” he said under his breath. “Not auditioning for a comedy club.” _____________ Outside, London stretched before them—historic stone buildings beside sleek glass towers, red double-decker buses weaving through traffic. Lily pressed her nose to the taxi window, whispering, “It’s like Harry Potter meets James Bond.” “Focus,” Alex said, already scanning his phone. She twisted in her seat to face him. “Do you ever… I don’t know… look up? Enjoy the city you’re in?”

Levi’s POV The fog in South London was quite the sight, clinging to the brickwork of the industrial districts like a damp shroud, covering the sins of the city. Who am I kidding, though? Nothing could cover up the filth of this godforsaken place. God, I hated London! It was 2:00 AM, and I sat in the darkness of our black van, taking a look at the warehouses of Deptford. They all looked damn near lifeless, like row upon row of freaking tombs.

The luxurious penthouse in the heart of London offered a breathtaking view of the illuminated city skyline, Big Ben, and the Thames River sparkling below. The cool evening air carried the faint scent of rain on concrete, expensive leather, and the subtle warmth of a crackling fireplace. Soft ambient lighting highlighted the modern yet elegant interior with its floor-to-ceiling windows and plush furnishings.

She was fired by her agency, and no one else would let her into their home. One mighty fine day, she went out to God knows where and came back home with stars in her eyes. “Loriah!” She’d said, “you won’t believe the luck we’ve had! The one and only Sebastian Von Hale offered me a job in his mansion in London. Can you believe it? London!” No, I couldn’t believe it. Which is why I did some very intensive digging on the man. My suspicions tripled when I discovered that Sebastian Von Hale wasn’t just rich, he was god-level wealthy. He owned the most successful biotech company in London, grossing billions in profit every month.

Chapter 32 Black Symphony of the Bank The financial district of London, known to locals as the City, was a dense labyrinth of towering glass skyscrapers and narrow, medieval alleyways that had survived the Great Fire. Tonight, the modern office buildings stood dark and empty, their reflective windows showing the flickering orange glow of the distant Tower fires. The streets below were completely deserted, the human population having fled toward the western suburbs, leaving the stone lanes to the silence and the growing weight of the mist.

But the city was too beautiful, its burgeoning lights a silent invitation to contemplation, and the air in the apartment too quiet, too fragile to break with the clumsy weight of my burgeoning curiosity. So instead, I let the silence stretch. Outside, the lights of London blinked like stars pulled down to earth, reflecting in the glassy surface of the Shard and the dark waters of the river. And inside, Adam Lewiston scribbled his signature onto a contract, line after decisive line, as if it cost him nothing. But I was starting to think… Maybe it cost him more than he let on.

Outside the building, a massive storm began to gather over the London sky, as if nature itself knew that tomorrow, history would be permanently changed by the world's strongest and most dangerous couple. END OF CHAPTER 31..

"I suppose no place in London is truly safe, which is why no woman should walk the streets alone, especially in the evening." Her gaze grew distant for a moment. "It is a mistake I will not make again." Then she looked down at her book. "Next question, my lord." Well, he'd tried. Perhaps a more circuitous route was required to win her trust. "What book are you reading?" He nodded at the tome she'd set aside. "Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations." "Truly?" He blinked at her. Most men he knew couldn't finish that book, and he'd never given much thought to whether a woman would read it. Not that he didn't think a woman could manage it, just that it was so bloody boring

Zane grinned, stuffing the spent monster back in his pants. “Same to you, daddy,” London winked, wiping down the shiny jeweled toy and putting it back on the shelf. London may have been known as a high riding bitch of the publishing world, but being a bitch was who she was, it was the fiber of her being and the core of her soul. This bossy bitch knew how to get what she wanted, and more importantly how to keep it.
