Of Frost and Fire

Of Frost and Fire

Nor did Esther Davis a little comfort and inspirit me to venture with her, by piquing my childish curiosity with the fine sights that were to be seen in London: the Tombs, the Lions, the King, the Royal Family, the fine Plays and Operas, and, in short, all the diversions which fell within her sphere of life to come at; the detail of all which perfectly turned the little head of me. Nor can I remember, without laughing, the innocent admiration, not without a spice of envy, with which we poor girls, whose church-going clothes did not rise above dowlas shifts and stuff gowns, beplaced with silver: all which we imagined grew in London, and entered for a great deal into my determination of trying

Pregnant By My Billionaire Ex Husband

Pregnant By My Billionaire Ex Husband

She had smiled for him, but the second she stepped outside, the smile disappeared. The office was nothing like Blackwood Tower, and that helped. Lorne Publishing sat inside an old red-brick building near Holborn, with warm lights, bookshelves, plants, and posters of novels on the walls. People walked around in jumpers with coffee cups and papers tucked under their arms. It felt busy, but not cold. For the first time since coming back to London, Elena felt like she might be able to breathe here.

Destiny

Destiny

How could I impress you? I did what I always did, focused on him. 'So you've lived in London and New Delhi, Dhiraj?' He nodded. “They are very different cities. Both are old, but with many different personalities. London is nobler, cleaner. And much, much more expensive. And less vibrant. - And even? Tell me more. I propped my elbows on the table, clasped my hands together, and rested my chin on them. He watched me, then reached out and gently separated my hands,

BEAUTY AND THE BODYGUARD: DANGEROUS DESIRE BOOK 2

BEAUTY AND THE BODYGUARD: DANGEROUS DESIRE BOOK 2

That would be emotional suicide. I moved away from the romance section quickly, like it might contaminate me somehow. Crime thriller. I'd read a crime thriller. Something with murder and investigations and absolutely zero sexual tension. That was safer. Much safer. I browsed the mystery section and pulled out a book I'd heard good things about. A detective novel set in London. Dark, gritty, complex. Perfect. I carried it to one of the comfortable chairs by the window and settled in. The chair was incredibly comfortable—soft leather that seemed to mold around me. There was a small side table with a reading lamp. A footstool I could put my feet up on.

The CEO's Contractual Wife

The CEO's Contractual Wife

"The London office is performing well, but some personnel issues need to be addressed." "Firing people isn't fun," I sympathized. "Especially when they've been with the company for twenty years but can't adapt to new methodologies." He sighed, then visibly shook off the business persona. "But enough about that. Ready to see some royal history?" I nodded enthusiastically. "Let me grab my coat." The Tower of London was everything I'd imagined: imposing, historic, and slightly macabre. Our private guide, a retired Yeoman Warder named Roger, was a fountain of knowledge and gruesome anecdotes.

I am reading this book and the other book you are currently serialising. Both have exceptional storylines, excellent grammar and I am absolutely obsessed with reading them. My only disappointment is with this novel you are only updating every weeks with between 5-7 chapters which is no enough.

So sorry to hear the author is recovering from illness. Hope he will continue this story when he is able. This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. Praying for a speedy recovery for him!

His Darkest Temptation

His Darkest Temptation

The quiet hum of early morning London was a balm to Isabella Hart's frayed nerves. Far removed from the cold austerity of the Cornwall Retreat, her apartment felt like the last place on earth that still belonged to her. Books lined every wall, their spines softened by use, and the scent of ground coffee and lavender lingered in the air. Familiar. Grounded.

A Taste Of Him: The One I Was Never Meant to Want

A Taste Of Him: The One I Was Never Meant to Want

she replied, biting down on her lip dramatically. I rolled my eyes but couldn’t stop smiling. “You’re crazy.” “And you’re boring,” she fired back instantly. The ride into the city was beautiful. London unfolded in soft gray skies and elegant architecture. Red double-decker buses rolled past like something out of a movie. Black cabs. People in long coats walking briskly like they all had somewhere important to be. We dropped our bags at the hotel and refused to waste daylight. “Tour first. Sleep later,” Layla declared. So we wandered.

Redacted Desires

Redacted Desires

The streets curved instead of running straight, the buildings leaned into history instead of away from it, and every so often the city parted just enough to let the river show through, like it was reminding you who had been here first. There was something quietly ridiculous about it — two people walking side by side with no plan, no destination, and no discussion of either, as if this were the most efficient system we’d come up with. “Are we going somewhere,” I asked after a while, “or are we just trusting the city’s decision-making process?” He glanced at me. “I’ve found London tends to make better choices than people.” “That feels like an insult delivered with data.” “It is.” We kept walki

The Woman Who Stayed

The Woman Who Stayed

She began where the truth was, which was with the thing she had been thinking about since the departure lounge that morning. "I want to tell you something about this city," she said. "About what it means to me to be here, specifically here, to talk about this book." She told them about the London that had existed in the story before she had arrived in it. The London of hotel rooms and called women and bills footed by a husband who could not find the money for household expenses but had no difficulty finding it for other purposes. The London that had become, in the architecture of the year she had survived, a symbol of the particular distance between the man her husband had been presenting as

All Shades of Passion

All Shades of Passion

And just before he hung up he said simply, "Good luck Sheila." I'd thought about those three words the entire flight over. The cab ride took nearly an hour. I watched London go past the window. It was nothing like Vegas. Where Vegas was wide and loud and spread out under a bright sky, London was dense, layered and old in a way that sat inside the buildings blocks themselves. Every street looked like it had stories it wanted to share. I liked it despite myself. We pulled up to a residential street in East London. Neat buildings. Small front steps. Frosty windows doing their best in January.
