Tangled in His Web

Tangled in His Web

Lily babbled. The officer chuckled. Alex, however, exhaled slowly through his nose. “You’re representing Knight Enterprises,” he said under his breath. “Not auditioning for a comedy club.” _____________ Outside, London stretched before them—historic stone buildings beside sleek glass towers, red double-decker buses weaving through traffic. Lily pressed her nose to the taxi window, whispering, “It’s like Harry Potter meets James Bond.” “Focus,” Alex said, already scanning his phone. She twisted in her seat to face him. “Do you ever… I don’t know… look up? Enjoy the city you’re in?”

Falling For His Forsaken Wife

Falling For His Forsaken Wife

"Just us. However, you need to eat. You are too thin. London probably fed you terrible British food." "British food was fine. Also I am not too thin." "You are too thin for my comfort. Sit. Eat." We sat at her small kitchen table, the same place we had shared countless meals over the years. She served me arroz con gandules, tostones, and a salad that was mostly just decoration to make the plate look balanced. "Tell me about London," she said. "I read the reviews, but I want to hear about it from you." I told her everything. The exhibition installation, the preview, the opening, the reviews. About Vivienne Laurent and European representation. About seeing my work in a major international gall

she replied, biting down on her lip dramatically. I rolled my eyes but couldn’t stop smiling. “You’re crazy.” “And you’re boring,” she fired back instantly. The ride into the city was beautiful. London unfolded in soft gray skies and elegant architecture. Red double-decker buses rolled past like something out of a movie. Black cabs. People in long coats walking briskly like they all had somewhere important to be. We dropped our bags at the hotel and refused to waste daylight. “Tour first. Sleep later,” Layla declared. So we wandered.

The CEO's Contractual Wife

The CEO's Contractual Wife

"The London office is performing well, but some personnel issues need to be addressed." "Firing people isn't fun," I sympathized. "Especially when they've been with the company for twenty years but can't adapt to new methodologies." He sighed, then visibly shook off the business persona. "But enough about that. Ready to see some royal history?" I nodded enthusiastically. "Let me grab my coat." The Tower of London was everything I'd imagined: imposing, historic, and slightly macabre. Our private guide, a retired Yeoman Warder named Roger, was a fountain of knowledge and gruesome anecdotes.

I am reading this book and the other book you are currently serialising. Both have exceptional storylines, excellent grammar and I am absolutely obsessed with reading them. My only disappointment is with this novel you are only updating every weeks with between 5-7 chapters which is no enough.

Absolutely love the two leads! Great book so far, can't put it down. Loving the way their love story is unfurling. Can't wait to reread it from start to finish when it finishes... but so far loving every new chapter as they come out! One of my favorite books. Keep it up!!! ...️

“Possibly.” Ryan walked over to the coffee machine in the corner. “You know…” He poured himself another cup. “…I thought tonight was supposed to be the big finale.” Daniel glanced at him. “This is just the beginning.” Ryan sighed dramatically. “I liked the finale better.” Emily leaned against the desk. “So London.” Adrian nodded. “Yes.” Daniel looked at the map again. “There are thousands of financial companies in London.” Ryan shrugged. “That narrows it down.” Daniel rolled his eyes. “Not really.”

Thirty Days Before Goodbye

Thirty Days Before Goodbye

The first review I read was from a literary publication that described the book as unflinching and specific and written with the particular authority of someone who had lived inside the thing she was describing rather than observing it from outside. The second review used the phrase inside view. Not from the methodology. From the book. From the chapter about the Marlowe's dinner and eating the meal alone and going home with every piece of yourself intact. The third review was not a professional review. It was a message in the Aldrich Press reader feedback system, forwarded to me by Patricia. A woman who identified herself only as M. She said she had bought the book on Tuesday. She said she w

Leading the way into the living room, she added, "And there's a couple of new radio shows that debuted last month. Nothing that stands out though. I think you're right. I miss Alias Jimmy Valentine too." "Oh! Not there, please, Lily! Those have to go back to the library." With an annoyed flick of a brow, Lily lifted her coffee mug to give Evelyn time to move the books aside. "The Roman Revolution. Diplomacy," she commented drily, tilting her head to one side, reading the titles along the book spines. "The Empire of the Steppes. The Wimsey Papers. Why can't you just read Agatha Christie like everyone else?"

I've barely been able to put this story down. I absolutely love it. I love how descriptive the story is. And it has made me want to have been able to go to that World's Fair. It is a beautiful love story and I can't wait to finish it.

I am only to Chapter 22, but this book is Amazing so far and by far my favorite. I love historical fiction and this piece is a gem. I read the Author's book about Grace and Juliet and just had to jump right into this one as some characters are the same.

The Billionaire's Sunshine

The Billionaire's Sunshine

Lillium Roosevelt I kept my eyes pressed to the glass, watching the city pour itself out like a dream in motion. The rain-slicked streets shimmered beneath the amber glow of streetlamps, every cobblestone and wrought-iron gate bathed in the kind of elegance you only ever saw in movies. London at night didn’t feel like a city—it felt like a memory you’d never lived, hauntingly familiar and impossibly new all at once.

This book is an easy, feel-good romance that’s fun to read if you enjoy stories about rich guys falling for regular men. The plot follows Adam, a ruthless but rich businessman, and Lu, a vulnerable man who challenges him in all the right ways....️...️...️ And the Seggs here is GOOD and Detailed...️‍...

I’ll be honest—this book surprised me in the best way. I went in expecting a typical billionaire romance with the usual tropes: power dynamics, tension, maybe a little forbidden love. What I got was so much more layered, emotionally intense, and dare I say… kind of devastating (in a good way).

Aegis Group Task Force

London said. Nor's voice was soft. "It's all you can think about." "Yeah." Ivy swallowed, trying to dislodge the lump, but it was stuck. "I was ready for Jabir. I wasn't ready for Piers." They were all quiet for several moments. "I'm in love with Gabriel Brodeur," London said. Ivy turned her head. Was she supposed to know that name? "Who is that?" Nor asked, saving Ivy the embarrassment. London chuckled. "He was the celebrity photographer I worked with on the show-that-shall-not-be-named."

I recently flipped through the latest issue of the 'London Book Review' and was struck by the depth of their critiques. One standout was their take on the new historical fiction novel 'The Crown’s Shadow'. The reviewer praised its meticulous research and vivid portrayal of Tudor England, but critiqued its pacing, calling the middle section 'a slog through courtly intrigue.' Another highlight was their review of 'Echoes of the Void', a sci-fi epic. They lauded its ambitious world-building but felt the characters lacked emotional depth. The magazine also featured a thought-provoking piece on contemporary poetry, singling out 'Whispers of the Urban Jungle' for its raw, unfiltered voice. The reviewer noted how it captures the chaos of modern city life but wished for more variety in its themes. Overall, the issue was a rich mix of praise and constructive criticism, offering readers plenty to ponder.

What I appreciated most was the balance between popular titles and lesser-known gems. The review of 'The Silent Symphony', a debut novel, was particularly compelling. The writer highlighted its unique narrative structure, weaving multiple timelines seamlessly, but pointed out that the ending felt rushed. The magazine also didn’t shy away from controversial takes, like their lukewarm reception of 'The Last Lighthouse', a bestseller many have raved about. They argued that while the prose was beautiful, the plot was predictable. It’s this fearless honesty that keeps me coming back to the 'London Book Review'.
