Devil’s Night

Devil’s Night

Aly said, sticking her tongue out at her brother. We all hopped in the Jeep and pretty soon we were pulling into my driveway. I thanked them again before getting out of the car and running inside. I bounded up the stairs and fell back onto my bed. I looked around at my walls. All of them were plastered with posters of Damien Raines and Devil’s Night. It still didn’t feel real. In just two days I would be standing just mere feet away from him and something told me this night was going to change my life.

In the Embrace of Terror

In the Embrace of Terror

a deep baritone voice spoked behind me. I immediately turn around. A man as tall as Vren was standing infront of me. He was wearing a black tux and a black tie. He has the same aura like Vren. Dark and strange. My heart throbbed. Vren was dark and always make me nervous over something. But this man was making my heart beat fast and making me nervous because of fear. And his eyes... it was like... It was like a no-heart human. Like a killer’s eyes.

THE NIGHT WILL TELL

THE NIGHT WILL TELL

I yell furiously and she stops whistling and whisper these words into my ears, MYSTERIOUS OLD LADY: HEED! HEED! HEED! I gasp and jolt up my back from the bed the moment I wake up from another horrifying nightmare. “Another nightmare!” I exclaim as I can't stop panting and trying to catch my breath. I can't sleep anymore, I've heard this old lady speak to me twice in my dreams, just within a day. I flip the lamp switch on and I glimpse at the alarm clock, “This can't be. What is the probability that this is also a coincidence?”

Decent Night Turned into My Worst Nightmare

Decent Night Turned into My Worst Nightmare

The yellow rays of the sun shined on my eyes through the wrecked window of my room. I was sleeping peacefully until I heard the footsteps rushing towards my room that shook my entire body, and my sleep went out of the window. The fear of getting caught took over me. Caught by him. I quickly pulled out my gun, which was under my pillow. Climbing off the bed, I stood in front of the closed door of my room with my gun fixed on it. "Andrea," shouted Claire from outside. Her voice calmed my racing heart and relief flooded through me. I lowered my gun and walked to the door. Claire’s worried eyes met mine when I opened the door.

We’ve all got the power in our hands to kill, but most people are afraid to use it. The ones who aren’t afraid, control life itself -The Night Stalker. __________ A soft rumble of thunder rolled through the night sky, followed by a humid, chilly gust of wind. Hopefully, I’d finish my business before the rain started. While werewolves didn’t get sick easily, I didn’t want to push my luck. Another breeze sent chills down my spine.

Susie
Such a good story! The story flows well. Doesn’t go on too long describing a vibe or paragraphs of how one foliage growing on a home looks like (looking at you, Anne Rice). Seriously, though, “Jilguera” is a wonderful storyteller. Read this story. It’s so good.

Creative show not tell like of story. Unique and dosent have “breaks” or emotional slow parts. Love the diversity and embracing unconventional circumstances. Also it’s not to long or drawn out, it’s just the right length. A delightful afternoon read 10/10 thank you!

Claws of the Night

Claws of the Night

I wasn't a silly young thing anymore, I could take a room full of alphas even as intense as this. "I was paying some attention to your actions, not for anything other than making sure that you feel comfortable and safe as it can be a l have brought my lovey wife in here. Once. And she refused to even let me speak of this place even at our house, where it's safe, over some dinner." Dr Dawson shook his head. "Fear is natural here. All the beta men feel it when they suit up and go in there for sample collection. It should not be a difference of the sexes. You will adapt. Do not forget who is in front of the cage and who is inside of it. There is no need to fear them. They have no huma

CONTRACTED TO THE BEAST ALPHA

CONTRACTED TO THE BEAST ALPHA

Alicia scrambled backward, her palms scraping against the cold, polished stone of the floor. The coppery tang of her own blood filled her nostrils, but it was the sheer, primordial terror that stole her breath. She kept her eyes downcast, glued to the intricate patterns of the rug. To look at him was to invite death itself. That voice—a low, gravelly tremor that promised oblivion—was terrifyingly familiar, a ghost from a past she had tried to bury.

The Silence Of His Vows

The Silence Of His Vows

I was entirely caged in the dark. I felt his face press into the crook of my neck. His stubble scratched my skin. His hot breath washed over my collarbone. For seven nights, I had lain in this exact position. And every single night, pure, blinding terror ripped through me. My mind convinced me that tonight was the night he was going to finish what he started in the freezing rain. Tonight was the night he was going to tear the clothes off my body and destroy me right here in his bed.

There were so many moments where my heart ached for Luna. I wanted to reach into the story and tell her she wasn’t alone. Watching her survive everything thrown at her while still holding onto her humanity made me admire her more with every chapter.

Lust of a Dragon

Lust of a Dragon

Have her in the dark. Maybe if I didn't have to see her, I could pretend I didn't know who Evelyn was all I wanted. Let myself indulge what she would offer. That wasn't even the most confusing part of the night. At one point, Evelyn awoke with a scream, tears streaming down her face with terror. It took me a few moments of blinking through bleary eyes to realize she was having a night terror. I wasn't a stranger to them. After the insurrection, I had them frequently. My mother did too, even if she pretended not to. Eventually, they stopped, but that blind panic was familiar. Evelyn hyperventilated, looking from side to side, in a foreign place.
