Well, I can spend almost a whole day in a huge bookstore. Angelo picked a post-apocalyptic book about survival and zombies. I’ve seen him watching a zombie television series last time. Maybe he’s into those kinds of books until now. On the other hand, I picked a cozy high fantasy with a low-stakes book. I’ve read a lot of things about this book on the internet. But ever since we moved to the town, it is not feasible to reach a bookstore. This is the perfect time to read the book along with a drink that we’re going to order.

Because of this, the number of mutated humans running for their lives and hiding in this land that were being infected and becoming zombies was steadily increasing. Kendra had never encountered a zombie, but her aunt had schooled her on them enough for her to know that they were a dangerous lot. There were zombies at various levels of deformities to their bodies; depending upon whether they were mutants when they turned or simply unfortunate humans. Since they were considered to be death walking, she had difficulty understanding how or why they would become cannibals. Why would they have a need to eat at all? A lot of the remaining merchandise is scattered around the floor or turned on its side on its shelf, having been overlooked during the first couple weeks of the zombie apocalypse. Aaron holds up a can of horseradish sauce and grimaces before setting it back down on the shelf. We don't have room to carry back any condiments that we don't have much use for. Things like horseradish, relish, or honey mustard sauce aren't a necessity and can't keep someone nourished and alive. Aaron climbs up the shelf to look at the top row, and he comes back down with three dented cans of baked beans that somebody missed. He drops them into my basket with a smile.

I didn't have time to explain everything over the phone. In the end, Emmett chose to believe me. "Alright. I'll buy them right now." After the zombie apocalypse descended on the world in my previous life, guns were hailed as the most important weapons when it came to fighting off the zombies. As a result, survivors often fought over them desperately throughout the apocalypse. Zombies couldn't feel pain at all, so normal attacks did nothing to halt them in their steps. Only by putting a bullet in their head could they be completely annihilated.

"Okay but a zombie apocalypse - come on, that's the basic answer. If you think about how the world can realistically end, I don't think zombies are the answer." I shook my head in disagreement, "It is very true, actually. There is a ton of scientific reasons that prove a zombie apocalypse could actually happen." Noah scoffed in disbelief, "Yeah? Like what?" "A number of things. Brain parasites, neurotoxins, real rage virus. It's all possible." I argued firmly. "You're just saying things that have happened in movies." Noah retorted, his voice light and amused. I shrugged my shoulders, "Doesn't matter. That doesn't stop it from becoming reality."

I said, looking at Kairo and holding the bayonet out to him. "Sis... I still can’t... I can’t do it... He used to be a person..." Kairo took the bayonet, his face pale. The overpowering stench of blood hit him, and a wave of nausea washed over him. The female zombie stared with dull, gray-white eyes, its hands stretching forward desperately. Its nose had been gnawed away, leaving two empty black holes. Its lips were gone, revealing dark red flesh and yellow-white teeth. I watched him quietly. "Brace yourself. You have to learn to get your hands dirty to survive this apocalypse."

My mind went into a downward spiral, thinking up ways to survive a crazy, zombie apocalypse. 1.) Machetes instead of guns, that way I won't run out of ammo. 2.) Find reliable allies. Let's see, Rick has Daryl in The Walking Dead and Roberta has Addy in Z-Nation. Ok, so I guess werewolf friends would come in handy if there's ever an outbreak - but can a werewolf become a zombie? SHIT! I don't think I'd survive a zombie-werewolf apocalypse.

I walk through the crowd of people conversely to see the source of danger and my eyes almost bulges out. Zombies swarm across the hole from above the leaking ceiling of the base. Endlessly falling and tumbling to the ground chasing and biting people with their disgustingly sharp teeth..! Blood saturating the ground with rotten smells and tiny worms splattered around the base. "This is the apocalypse?!" I have never seen one before. This is the first. "Help..! Aaaaahh!" A rotting zombie takes hold of a child and is about to bite her. My hand trembles but I pick up my courage and...

Maybe if I look at the buildings. The abandoned buildings around me were trashed when the apocalypse started. I remember when the first outbreak was reported, the infected were ripping people’s throats out. I always thought the apocalypse would have been caused by zombies but it’s not. Get this, the apocalypse started because of vampires and not the twilight kind of vampires. No these vampires don’t have glittery skin or look even remotely attractive. These vampires have rotten skin from the lack of food and their eyes are black bottomless pits. These monsters can go out in the sun without the fear of their skin burning. The scene of such a dense pile of bones rushing to the town was shocking enough. The chief's call of zombies scared everyone present so much that their hands and feet went limp. Zombies were monsters that only cultivators could deal with! It was rumored that they would neither die nor disappear, bloodthirsty and cruel. And it would spread plague. A zombie was enough to destroy a village with 100 people overnight. But now... As far as the eye could see, there were more than 10,000 zombies in this vast pile of corpses. Moreover, the zombies gushing out of the dense forest gave people an endless feeling.
