I didn't have time to explain everything over the phone. In the end, Emmett chose to believe me. "Alright. I'll buy them right now." After the zombie apocalypse descended on the world in my previous life, guns were hailed as the most important weapons when it came to fighting off the zombies. As a result, survivors often fought over them desperately throughout the apocalypse. Zombies couldn't feel pain at all, so normal attacks did nothing to halt them in their steps. Only by putting a bullet in their head could they be completely annihilated.

"Okay but a zombie apocalypse - come on, that's the basic answer. If you think about how the world can realistically end, I don't think zombies are the answer." I shook my head in disagreement, "It is very true, actually. There is a ton of scientific reasons that prove a zombie apocalypse could actually happen." Noah scoffed in disbelief, "Yeah? Like what?" "A number of things. Brain parasites, neurotoxins, real rage virus. It's all possible." I argued firmly. "You're just saying things that have happened in movies." Noah retorted, his voice light and amused. I shrugged my shoulders, "Doesn't matter. That doesn't stop it from becoming reality."

These vampires have rotten skin from the lack of food and their eyes are black bottomless pits. These monsters can go out in the sun without the fear of their skin burning. The scene of such a dense pile of bones rushing to the town was shocking enough. The chief's call of zombies scared everyone present so much that their hands and feet went limp. Zombies were monsters that only cultivators could deal with! It was rumored that they would neither die nor disappear, bloodthirsty and cruel. And it would spread plague. A zombie was enough to destroy a village with 100 people overnight. But now... As far as the eye could see, there were more than 10,000 zombies in this vast pile of corpses. Moreover, the zombies gushing out of the dense forest gave people an endless feeling.

I began to read and to train my body. Immersed in the ocean of knowledge, my heart grew fuller and calmer than it had ever been. A strong, healthy body was the greatest asset for enduring this long apocalypse. Occasionally, I would access the global surveillance network to glimpse the world being scorched by heatwaves. The traces of civilization were being erased at breathtaking speed. Skyscrapers grew brittle and collapsed under the relentless heat. Forests turned to scorched earth. The oceans evaporated, revealing jagged seabeds and countless skeletal remains of once-living creatures.

For a moment, he just stood there with furrowed brows, his orbs fixed on the cover. “Zombies are Real?” he read, tapping his fingers on the book. Taking a deep breath, he averted his gaze to the books seated next to them. Using his free hand, he grabbed one. “Supernatural Being.” With his lips curled, he scanned them from back-to-front cover. Immediately after, his mind drifted without prior warning. Something about the titles probed his guts. He just didn’t know what. Should he believe these zombies and supernatural beings were true? If not, how could he explain what he’d seen the night before?
