So, she picked up the dog the day before I was supposed to move in. The day of the move in, well, instead of getting me & all my belongings, he got my karma card. My karma card is the justice tarot card, with a catchy note on the back letting them know that they've received their karma. She got her dog back, I got paid nicely, & he got his karma. I only take jobs that involve bitter break ups right before I skip town, because those are the nastiest kinds of jobs to take. But I mean, did he actually deserve the dog if he was willing to give it up for some broad?

I added. "You made an innocent couple die. Ripped a whole family apart. Have you heard of karma? It's not going to come for both of us" I yelled at him angrily. "It's too late to choose a side, Ben. That family is going to hate you for the rest of their li-" He let the steering wheel slip out of his hands as the truck bashed into the side of the vehicle, pushing us further to the end. Benjamin made it back in time as he held the steering to his chest while I dialed 911 on my phone just as we neared the end of the road and each second, as their car went on, the door flung open.

Mike made it clear that he resented me for hurting Julie the same way that he had been hurt in the past. We sat there for a minute in silence. There are a glasses picture and Koji”s name on the card. Koji gives Alfi the card. “Do you have a driver?” Koji asked. “Yup,” Kartika said showing her driver. “Insert it to your driver,” Koji said. Kartika takes the card from Alfi”s hand and inserts it into her driver.

Suddenly I felt her wrapping her one hand around mine. She took my callous hand in her not so big hand and started walking without reacting. I smiled internally. My hands were itching to tuck them behind her ears but I kept my hands away. I was not interested in spoiling the mood. I wanted to enjoy that moment, the serene beauty that walks.
