"Sounds a bit full of yourself, don't you think?" Kaelor’s thumb traced the edge of Aradaa’s jaw, a rough, calloused touch that sent a spark of heat through Aradaa’s chest.

One volume called to her like a whisper against bone: *The Greater Veil: Finer Threads of Dominion* She pulled it free. The book was heavier than the black tome from her father’s library, its cover bound in something that looked like polished shadow-leather, warm to the touch. She opened it carefully. The first pages spoke of layered commands, of weaving intent so precisely that the dead obeyed without resistance, of turning even the strongest-willed undead into extensions of the caster’s will. Raven’s breath caught. She looked up at Victoria. Victoria read the title over her shoulder, then met Raven’s gaze. She squeezed Raven’s hand once—firm, reassuring—and nodded.

Willow requested with a straight face. "Where was I before I was rudely disturbed? Oh yes, I want you to spy on the vampire king and report his activities. Unlike the werewolf king, this king is not bothered about the raising rogues in his area. His behavior is somewhat suspicious and I want to know what is he hiding" "What do you think will happen if we don't catch this culprit?" "Then I believe we will be facing an army of intelligent rogues. And these rogues are made. That means anyone can be turned rogue. No one is safe. And it is limitless."

He announced, “Tyr, I don’t have much time left. I will take advantage of tonight to do my last duty to you as a master.” Tyr’s was startled deep down. He asked, “Master, what do you want to do?” Beggar King did not answer but pulled out two yellow cover ancient books from his torso and passed them into Tyr’s hand. He said, “You can have both of the books. It totally depends on your luck as to what you can achieve.” In that instant, Tyr felt as though his brain was blasting with a buzz. He looked dumbly at both books handed to him by Beggar King in a trance. He asked, “What are these?”

Eventually Alex is able to tell me the town, and that it isn't too far from here, before both him and Alex leave me to rest. Not that I can find much...Nightmares haunt me. Nightmares of being kidnapped, meeting an enigmatic hunter with unspoken abilities. A King, a rebellion. These nightmares assault me so viciously, so vividly, I wake in the night in a sweat, gasping in panic. These aren't nightmares, they are memories.

That was what the book Zezi had read some months ago had told her about the Dark Times. She imagined that they were even worse. Tension settled in the room, fear consumed the air. "Who told you that?" Laura was the first to snap. Zezi frowned, rage flooding into her veins. "Is it true, Princess? Is this something your White Circle has been dabbling in and keeping a secret from the rest of us?"

Much like he'd looked as he had stood on Carrie's porch watching the clouds slowly travel across the sky while calmly sipping his coffee despite the chaos going on around him. Ben returned carrying a load of books in his arms. He heaved the heavy books onto the table before me. I looked down and was surprised at what I saw there. I didn’t know what I had expected. With all that had happened, I had envisioned fantasies of witchcraft, vampirism, mutants, and numerous other explanations involving mythological figures but this I hadn’t anticipated. At the very top of the considerable pile of books lay the King James Bible. “Just the tip of the iceberg, baby.” Richard said as he looked at me and

I was astounded, "This can not be safe for your defense?" The king didn't answer my questions when he talks and explained about my young dragon. "When he's tame and his wound is better, Brontes can accompany you here." Armand steps back and I peel my eyes from the open walls and look at the high ceiling and the very large space with stone flooring. Then I looked at the chains on the walls, this place... "The previous king, I was told he had a fascination with dragons." "What happened to him?" "Died in a battle." He ended the conversation right there, and I didn't push further instead I asked the thing that lingers on my mind.

The forbidden text inscribed within revealed itself slowly but surely; ancient runes etched in blood-red ink that seemed to pulsate with dark energy. As I delved deeper into the book, my heart quickened with anticipation. The passages hinted at a forgotten history, a tale of a powerful Lycan King who had once ruled over the land. It spoke of his rise to power and the dark deeds he had committed in his quest for dominance. But it also hinted at a hidden truth, a secret that had been buried for centuries, waiting to be uncovered.
