unmasked desire

unmasked desire

The faint scent of something dark and expensive lingering in the air wood, spice, something almost smoky. Elias ran a finger along the spines, scanning titles. History. Economics. Philosophy. Control disguised as curiosity, he thought absently. He crouched to reach the lower shelf, pulling out one book, then another. When he straightened, his elbow brushed the desk. Something slid. He caught it automatically before it hit the floor. A matchbook. Black. Matte. Thick cardstock. Elias stared at it. His pulse kicked hard enough to make his ears ring.

Between the Alpha and the Rogue, Fated to Choose Only One

Curiosity tugged at her to go to the library. She got out of the room and followed the path Alice had described. The library's doors creaked open, revealing rows of shelves stacked with books. The air was a bit dusty and cobwebs hung around. She wondered if people hardly came here. She trailed her fingers along the spines of the books until she found one titled: “The Lunar Bond, The mating of wolves” Her hand trembled slightly as she lifted the heavy book. She opened it, reading in silence about bonds, instinct and transformations.

Mates Deception

Mates Deception

I said quickly, holding up a scroll I had grabbed from the hallway. He looked at me suspiciously but eventually stepped aside. Once inside, I let out a breath of relief. The library was massive, with rows and rows of shelves that seemed to stretch into forever. I felt small standing there, but I couldn’t let that stop me. I started searching, my fingers brushing over the spines of books as I looked for anything that might hold the answers I needed. My mother’s story echoed in my mind, giving me clues to follow. Finally, I found it—a book about old alliances and rivalries between packs. My heart raced as I flipped through the pages, scanning for anything that matched what Mama had told me.

HIS LUNA

HIS LUNA

Maxine opens her mouth, but closes it immediately, as Maxim takes control of the conversation again. "It's too late, Max." continued Maxim smoothly. "Do you want us to go down again if there's something we didn't expect?" Maxine hurriedly shook her head. In the next split second, she carried her backpack full of books and followed Maxim —chasing him on the right side. They continued walking, passing rows of large tall pine trees neatly lined up on their right and left. None of them made a sound. Both of them focused on each step they took, as well as putting on their ears —hearing all sorts of natural sounds around them.

Accidentally Finding My Perfect Match

Accidentally Finding My Perfect Match

Caruso’s POV “These are the contracts that are yet to be reviewed,” Edith uttered, before hunching over to place a small pile of folders on my desk. As she did, our hands brushed, and the slight contact went straight to my chest, causing that same weird sensation to unfurl as my eyes met hers and remained there. I had always thought Edith had the most mesmerizing pair of orbs I’d ever seen, and right now, as I got lost in them, I realized that fact would forever be undisputed.

A Dangerous Game: Desired By The Billionaire Brothers

A Dangerous Game: Desired By The Billionaire Brothers

Mom supported me, not because she understood, but because she loved me and wanted me to be happy. I stood up and walked around the library, feeling a little restless. They had all of the classics, and some of them looked as though they were expensive copies. Other authors that I regularly read, such as James Patterson and Dean Koontz were on the shelves. They even had some of my female favorites, such as Lisa Jackson, Lisa Gardner and Heather Graham Pozzessere. Then I wondered down to another section where I found some more provocative books. They had a lot of erotica books. One huge volume stood out: The Kama Sutra.

The Unexpected Mate

The Unexpected Mate

Zayden As soon as I got done showering, I hurried and dried my body and hair, put on my clothes and walk out the door. I see my little mate sitting in the chair I left her in but with a book in hand. I slowly walk over to her and lean on the back of the chair. I notice she is reading my favorite book. Catch 22 by Joseph Heller. “How do you like it so far?” I startled her apparently as she jumped as soon as I asked the question.

Liliana
I really and truly LOVED this book. Yes, the ending was unexpected. Everleigh is too powerful and should be mated to only one fae mate. Or a fae/werewolf one. Grey and Zayne weren’t able to appreciate her. Actually, no one was able to appreciate her true self. I’m relieved she left them all.
Laura Wallinger

Perfect Match: The Cruel Alpha's Submissive Mate

Perfect Match: The Cruel Alpha's Submissive Mate

However, their temperaments appeared vastly different and conflicting. As the strongest alpha in the Kingston family, Isaac had undoubtedly cultivated arrogance and confidence in every action. While Raquel lacked both, having been belittled throughout her life in the Welch family after her mother's death. Naturally lacking confidence and certainly lacking the arrogance of a future mate to the strongest alpha. She only felt inferior and fearful. Like a summer breeze, Isaac's voice reassured her. "You are my wife, Isaac Kingston. Lift your chin and never demean yourself in front of anyone other than me!"

She said one word, loud and clear, ' Mate,' " Mate," he said in a deep sexy voice. My world was spinning. How was this possible? I was rogue; rogues didn't have mates.
