Always Been You

Always Been You

He brought up their previous conversation. 'I hope that’s not true, Evan. Please, don’t give me false hope.' Grace glanced at her phone, which lay on the carpet near the plastic bags of snacks. She sighed in disappointment at not receiving any texts, even though her phone was on. "Well, that's alright. Let's just enjoy the upcoming new year; it's only four minutes away," she said to herself as she looked at the clock on her phone. “Right. I’m still here, though. I’m not going to leave you,” Anthony said, trying to keep a smile on Grace’s face with his comforting words. [ABY]

Oops! I Had the CEO’s Quadruplets

Oops! I Had the CEO’s Quadruplets

And I was, in this loud little corner of a city that didn't know me, quietly happier than I'd been in years. Grace watched all this from behind her sewing machine with the expression of a woman hatching something. "You know who you need to meet," she said. "I don't need to meet anyone. I need to sleep." "You need to meet Noah." She bit a thread. "Does the books for half the block. Terrifying with a calculator, no personality to speak of, I love him. He's coming by Thursday for my quarterly." "Grace." "I already told him you're smarter than him. He didn't believe me. It's going to be great."

Tides of Grace

Tides of Grace

Marrine Child showed up on the steps of a tiny church, wrapped in blankets and left out in a raging storm. The nuns and Father Thompson took her in, raising her in the quiet seaside town of Port Haven. On the surface, she seemed like any other orphan—just a bit out of place, maybe. But there was more to Marrine. Her father was the King of the Deep, a powerful sea ruler set on taking her back, no matter the cost. She grew up under the watchful eyes of the church, soaking in the faith and warmth of her caretakers. As she got older, Marrine’s beauty stood out—though not nearly as much as her bond with Zeke Thompson, the priest’s son. The two of them grew up together, turning a childhood frie

ECHOES OF LONGING

ECHOES OF LONGING

👄Chapter One 👄 Grace rubbed her eyes and glanced at the clock on the far wall. It was already past nine. The university library had been closed to students for hours, but she had stayed late again to finish cataloging the new batch of rare books that had arrived last week. The archive room in the basement was quiet, cool, and smelled of old paper and dust. She loved it here.

More Than Lust!

More Than Lust!

"Not even single second till last year... And that's why i said that you can't get any insights from me because I don't know anything..." Dom frowned. "Till last year?" "Yeah! I got into accident last year and lost my memory..." She answered. Dom looked at her like he is in deep thoughts. "You don't remember!" He wonder why both of them are in the same boat. He tossed the book on the desk and stormed out of the library without saying anything. "Weird as fuck!" Grace scawled. She was about to close the book but one letter slide down from the book. Grace looked at the letter confused and picked it up.

Playing With My Stepbrother Is A Crime

Playing With My Stepbrother Is A Crime

“There are no cameras in here, and no one will save you.” “Come at me, I dare you.” I huff. It's enough, I will not be pushed around any longer. Grace stands up, her claws elongating as she walks towards me. “Get her Grace,” Natalie laughs. “We will drop a heavy bookshelf on her, and we will say it's an accident!” I back away until my back touches the first shelf. It's the one that holds the oldest set of books, and these books have been wrapped with heavy leather coverings, protected with metals.

Falling For The Enemy

Falling For The Enemy

I still feel powerless at times, unable to help her. “Doing well. Seeing Grace later.” Smiling, I fall into step beside her, and we head back toward the house. Grace is my father’s sister, the antithesis of my mother in every way. While my mother can be stern, Grace is gentle. A Buddhist who loves gardening and practices yoga every morning, she’s a positive influence. I still hope my mother’s sharp edges will soften, but after all this time, I doubt it. The only people she’s ever been tender and nurturing to are Lilly and Levi. Perhaps she sensed they needed it when I showed up at Thanksgiving years ago with two additional mouths to feed and no prior notice.

Contract With Big Brother-in-law

Contract With Big Brother-in-law

I whispered. She shrugged. “It wasn’t so bad at first. I had a few books that they allowed me, which I read over and over. I dreamed. I meditated, I spoke to my wolf. But it compounds, you know? Eventually, you start wishing for the torture to start, if only so you can feel a connection.” “But then you came,” Grace went on, gesturing to Nicholas. “You were such a fucking prick. You yelled at me, slammed your hands on the table, threatened me. It was the first real contact I’d had with another person in years.”

Kimmy
"Wow, what a charmed life she’s living—pain, suffering, heartbreak—she’s got the full package! It’s almost like the author’s personal mission was to make sure the heroine never experiences a single moment of joy. Truly inspiring.,.. very disappointing this one is really exhausting to read

Let me first say that this author has kept me coming back to read the rest of the story. However, poor Kayla… can’t she catch a break? This is one of the better books I’ve read on here, but I’m starting to get frustrated by the 2 steps forward with Nicholas and Kayla for them to take 10 steps back.
