“What’s your favorite movie?” Laura is silent for a long moment, her bottom lip between her teeth as she thinks. “I-I don’t know.” She exhales. “I think I liked comedies or drama pieces. Nothing sad or scary.” I offer her a smile. “I don’t like anything scary either.” Her eyes widened in surprise. “Really?” “Hell, yeah.” I nod without an ounce of shame. “Demons and poltergeists are terrifying.” Laura’s throat releases the quietest laugh. “Yeah, they are.”

Pepper I knew Elliott kept on hand just for me. I walked back into a conversation about the movie Birdbox which was all the rage recently on Netflix. I hadn’t had a chance to watch it. Also, my mom said I shouldn’t watch those scary movies that will just put images in my head. I wanted to print out a picture of Bonnie attacking Tara and put that in my mom’s head, but there was no use arguing. If I wanted to watch it, there was not much she could do about it. I could watch it through Brandon’s eyes in the middle of the night if I wanted to. I didn’t want to.

Walking with Angelo seemed normal to them. Last Sunday, we watched a horror movie inside their house. I was so scared of the killer clowns in the movies, but he wasn’t even flinching while watching. He said those fictional creatures weren’t scary at all. What he was scared of was how dangerous some of the wolf packs are.

I fell asleep towards the end. "You said you weren't scared?" Camila argues. "You said it was a boring movie. You slept." I chuckle. "Well, I lied. I only put on a brave face." "That must have been a scary movie. You must've been scared, Lippy," Hearing says my nickname makes my body feel sick. Leah peeks her way through my conversation with Camila. "But you must know scary movies are just make-believe stories. There is no such thing as Freddy Kruger or Jason. It's okay to be scared; as adults, we see those movies as not real. Even children can tell the difference between fiction and non-fiction."

“Yes, it is. So, you want to watch some T.V. or play a video game?” “Whatever you want to do.” I say with a smile. Aaron pats the bed beside him. “Do you like scary movies?” “I love scary movies.” I tell him as I sit on the bed next to him. “Good. Me too.” Aaron turns on a scary movie, and we settle into a comfortable silence as the movie begins. Scary movies always seem to suck at the beginning. That never seems to last long and as much as I love scary movies, I am also a big scaredy cat. An unexpected jump scare makes me scream and I cover my eyes with my hands.

Flashback Monte Rio, CA A black car drove through a desolate road. On the right and left are full of dense and lush forest trees. Inside the car, Anne, sitting next to Jack, is feeling anxious. Jack who was driving the car glanced at Anne who was squeezing the hem of her dress. "It's okay, everything will be fine." Jack tried to calm Anne down, as if he knew what was going through her mind. "I'm scared," she said hesitantly.

Well, I hope that won’t happen. But honestly, it’s really scary that someone sends you texts telling you about what’s happening to you. Who wouldn’t be scared if a picture of me sleeping and going to the bathroom to take a bath was sent? He’s a total creep. Caleb said, that's too much for him to be a fan of me. Maybe next time I will really be kidnapped. Instead of helping me calm down and relax, he gave me a reason to overthink. I just hope that my stay here will be fine.

" Zoe asked, making Alex nod. ”What about scream?” Alex asked. ”Nope, I haven't!” she replied. ”Why on earth don't you scream?” she asked, noticing the smile plastered on his face. She couldn't help but laugh at his expression as he joined her. ”I guess it never interested me like the rest of the movie! Humans are quite stupid in the movie, the dude wasn't even fearful and they called it a scary movie.” Alex said. ”He isn't scary and it is classic?” She asked, walking behind Alex. She noticed him ignoring her and walking in silence.

Slits, the pupils, staring directly at him as Ben froze in place. "Boo~." It chimed again, those eyes crinkling with glee. Horror movies were dumb. They were grotesque for no reason, they never had a real scare. Demons, ghouls, ghosts, monsters, Ben knew none of it existed. It was impractical and it had never made a lick of sense. Right?

Chris gapes, resting his arms on the table and leaning forward. Steph laughs. "I'm serious." "Why?" He has a puzzled look on his face. Steph shrugs. "I don't know, I find them funny. Scary movies are humorous to me. Maybe it's because I know they're not real." "That's....that's crazy," Chris remarks. "I know. Brooke thinks that too." "I don't usually get scared but I definitely don't find them funny," Chris quips. Steph smiles at the expression on his face. He shakes his head as if to shake off that piece of information. He looks around as if checking to see if someone is eavesdropping.
