I haven’t watched it yet but Ryan told me all about it.” Once he puts the movie on, I move over to lay in lap. It felt so natural and Serenity purred in my chest. Toby absentmindedly stroked my hair. That didn’t last long as a girl took off towards her neighbor. I screamed and, somehow, landed completely in Toby’s arms with my arms wrapped around his neck. I shove my face into his chest and he laughs. I look back as the lady slams the door against her husband.

Noticing my gaze, Leon cleared his throat. "Is it nice?" "Yeah, it's nice." He smiled to himself, and his eyes burned. "Then keep looking." I blushed, wanting to turn away, but he raised an eyebrow and leaned in close before whispering, "Are you afraid I'll eat you up?" My heart raced like a drum, but I tried to stay calm. "Not really. I'm more afraid you won't be able to control yourself." "Is that so?" Leon looked at me with renewed interest.

Scarlett’s POV They bore no humanity, no spark of life. Staring into those eyes was like gazing into an endless void, a darkness that seemed to claw at my very soul. He wasn’t just a man. He was a nightmare given flesh—a being that shouldn’t have existed in this world. Shivers ran down my spine as I realized the full extent of what we were up against. This wasn’t just a fight for survival—it was a fight against the unnatural, the unholy. And at this moment, I wasn’t sure if we had the strength to prevail.

He punched me in the face. “Damn it! Did you offend some terrifying boss? You almost got me killed!” “Weren’t you very fast? Now we’re in the real world—let’s see how you run!” He vented all his fear of the horror game onto me just like before.

We were all just standing there, thirty strangers in some dramatic-looking grand hall. Then came the crying. "Waaah... this place is so scary. I wanna go home." Scary? Could've fooled me. Thanks to my perception disorder, my brain airbrushes reality. The grosser something is, the prettier it looks. So to me? This place felt like a cozy Airbnb. Meanwhile, some cranky knight-looking dude threw punches at the shadows. "Quit hiding and fight me, coward!" While most people were busy freaking out, two stepped forward—chill and confident.

Ten-year-old Bree chimed as Emma looked over her shoulder worriedly. “That’s nice, sweetie. Why don’t you tell me about that mermaid story again?” “I hate that story. Can I tell the one about the wolf?” Bran chimed in. “Wolf?” Patrick asked as Brinna looked out the window and saw another animal running alongside their vehicle. “Yeah, the one that eats the girl in the red hood.” “Mommy, I don’t like that story. It is scary.” Bree snuck at the rolling landscape and saw the scary animal with sharp teeth sneering at her, so she pretended to look forward and saw her parents exchange a look.

I shrugged, putting my pillow on my lap and placing on it the book I had snagged off the bookshelf. “You read horrors?” Liam asked, eying my book. “Yes, I read and love them.” I couldn’t hide my smile. “Do you?” “Me?” He blinked, pointing to himself. “Who else? There’s no one here but us.” I pointed out, causing his cheeks to get a pink glow, and my smile grew. Aww, he was really adorable. “No, I don’t. I don’t mix well with horror of any kind— movies, books, or games— because I’m a scaredy cat. I can’t even stand scary campfire stories.”

On TV is the news that has been replayed since the morning about Vampires suddenly going mad and attacking people without purpose, they are like zombies without brains that can't control their actions, Then there are the bloody scenes that are really terrible.

I never realized how peaceful humans look when they are in the depths of deep slumber. Just by looking at one you would think all well within the world, and maybe it is but not in my world. As I watch Sky sleep I realize two things, one being that I have finally embraced the fact that I'm a nonhuman and the other is that for the first time in my life I am truly scared. For the last few days all I have been feeling this intense fear, gut wrenching fear that at any moment one of the demons after me would come and kill the love of my life. Hence why I have been watching him sleep and basically following him around for days now.

In 1983 a Mrs Carson of New York was laid out in our coffin, presumed dead of hear disease. As mourners watched, she suddenly sat up, alive as you or I. Unfortunately her daughter dropped dead of fright on the spot. I don't own any of this stories. I found them in some creepy books. I'm thinking of writing my own scary stories, but not anytime soon.
