The Bad Boy's Lottery
I looked up, confused, and saw that Natalie was holding a water bottle and smirking at me.
"You'll never believe what I just did." she said, her eyes twinkling with mischief. I scowled at her, my heart sinking as I realized what she must have done.
"Don't tell me you drenched my book." I exclaimed, scrambling to take it out of my bag. Sure enough, there was a small damp spot on the cover.
"Natalie, you're the worst!" I said, my voice rising in frustration. But Natalie just laughed.
"Relax, it's just a little water. It'll dry." I looked at my book, which was now covered in small droplets, and my anger bubbled over.
