Novel & Cerita Booktok Books Becoming Movies

Julian Blackwood didn't believe in *kindness*. He believed in **results**. In **control**. In **winning**. And yet as he stood in the midst of *Chapter & Soul* bookstore, with Lena Carter's soft voice still lingering at the edges of his mind like morning mist, something strange tangled deep in his chest. "*Maybe you should start,"* she had breathed. An effortless sentence. Soft, nearly shy. But it had hit harder than any boardroom betrayal or market crash he'd ever faced.

"Script approval. Casting approval. Even final cut consultation." "It still feels surreal." "But it could reach people the book never will. Some people don't read. But everyone watches movies." He had a point. The book had sold well, but a movie could reach millions more. "What if they get it wrong? What if they turn our story into something cheap?" "That's why you have creative control. You can prevent that." I chewed my lip. "What do you think I should do?" "I think you already know. You wouldn't be this conflicted if you wanted to say no."

The film had the same name as my book. I had wanted it to be a single film, then the sequel would also be another single film, but seeing the scenes in the book, it was best I turned into a movie series, so I would not chop off some parts. I decided that book one would be one season why book two would be the other season. Today was the last day of filming for book one and I couldn't be more happier. It's been five months of exhausting yet unforgettable experience. This was basically me sharing my real life experience with the whole world on a large screen.

She was also hidden in my backpack when I applied for the job in the local library, I always had a weak spot for the books and stories, when they took me I couldn’t be happier. My job was easy and simple, just help people buying their stories, cash them out, put the books back in place and finally I can read as much as I want. It was the best kind of job for me, I loved it and I got paid weekly, enough to eat, after my first paycheck, I had spent a full week starving,

“Proud? Did you see the life-sized cutouts? How did you get them all printed so fast and then shipped out so fast? How?” “Money talks Cruz. My editorial team is thinking this is the best book yet. They’re even talking about movie rights.” “Movie rights?” “Yes. It won’t be as sexy as the Shape of Water which as far as weird love stories goes feels like a benchmark, but I still think it will be hot. Hey, have you ever considered acting?” she tried not to giggle as he staggered back from her in disbelief. He walked to the patio doors and stood there for several seconds with his hands against the glass and his back hunched.

Ivana must have misunderstood his reaction because she cleared her throat and sat straighter. “I mean, it would make a great movie or series, sir. Most movies aren’t exactly the same as the books, but if we keep the main essence, it would be no problem,” his new temp explained. Calvin nodded. He liked the idea. He had to be sure he was doing it for the right person. “If it’s a book, a very popular book, the book world will go mad for it.” “A popular book?” he interrupted.

She looked up and smiled as I approached, and we exchanged warm hellos. As we sat down, Sarah began to explain why she was interested in adapting my book into a movie. She told me that she had read the book and had been deeply moved by the story. She believed that it had the potential to resonate with audiences on a wide scale, and she wanted to bring it to life on the big screen.

The beautiful tales of princesses and wizards turned my extremely boring life into a life of adventure, laughter and glass slippers. My book obsession only grew as I grew older and eventually I felt more like myself when I had a heavy paperback in my hands. I became known as the weird book girl and it didn't bother me because they were all missing out on the best thing ever invented. I loved my books alright but I had never, ever thought that my passion for them would result in me auditioning for the biggest book-turned-movie of the century. I was walking through the mall behind the short, plump lady who had introduced herself as Ms Green. My heart was beating faster than it had ever beaten

Jun explained to his shell shocked editor who seemed to become paler as they kept talking, 'Welcome to the real world young man' Jun thought amused by his editor's innocence "There is also the entertainment world who will be more interested in adapting the book into a cinema production. After all, if the book is this popular they would think of it as something that would make a good revenue as a movie or a drama. We've already had a few inquiring phone calls from some producers. If things turn bad, this whole incident could be the downfall of the publishing company," Kurosaki added

“Did they offer you a movie deal?” Dawn nodded. Selene squealed, startling the others. “And? Did you say yes?!” Dawn was silent for a while. Then she shook her head. “WHAT?! But why?!” She was one of the fans who wanted to see it as a film. “The book is still new. It’s best if there are more people who would be able to read it first. Wouldn’t it be bad if it’s turned into a movie and nobody watches it?” Dawn sighed. This was her worry after all.
