“Is that a challenge, baby?” Amara looked over her shoulder, her eyes meeting his as she tilted her head. “Do you take it as one?” Rhys walked behind her, his chest touching her back as he raised his hand and ran his fingers over the several books on the shelf above. Eyes sharp and amused. Amara was almost pressed between him and the book rack, heart in her mouth and legs clenching. She knew he was doing it on purpose. “You like fantasy, more like magic and knights.” He pulled out one book, a thick book with a light brown cover with images of a knight and a woman. He tilted his head. “Never grasped what’s so good about this one though.”

I loved the romance between the two main characters, a bad-guy fae who turned out to be the good guy all along, and a human girl who finds herself thrown into a world of magic. He placed the coat on the bed and sat behind me, grabbing my waist with one arm. "Why are you still awake?" He said, taking the book from my hands and going through it. I was reading a fantasy novel that was about fairies going into the real world and finding their lovers. I know it's a childish book, and I knew Alexander would be thinking the same as he read through the pages.

I had so much time on my hands I could read every one of these books. I found three that sounded interesting then went to the cafe for a watermelon lemon water, I never heard of a drink like that before. I found a nice big chair on the outside patio and opened my first book. It immediately pulled me into the story. It was an action adventure that followed the life of a strong Beta devoted to his pack. He had to marry a fairy to bring more protection to his people. This book said fairies had magic that seeped out of their pores, making any submit to their wishes. It was a fictional tale so I wasn't sure if anything was true, but it was an exciting adventure.

I wasn’t sure I wanted to know. He moved quickly, weaving through aisles until we reached the far end of the room. There, he scanned the shelves with his fingertips before pulling out a thick tome coated in dust. The cover was bound in faded leather and sealed with a clasp that didn’t look remotely normal, it had symbols carved into it, almost like tiny constellations. He traced a symbol over the clasp, and with a soft metallic click, it released. The book creaked open. I hovered beside him, leaning just enough to glimpse the pages he flipped through, each one filled with looping glyphs and illustrations of creatures, rituals, symbols, and magic I’d only heard about in stories people labeled

But if shifters were more like the ones in these books, life would be a little more exciting in a pack. I wander around the bookstore until I found the fantasy section. Mystery and romance are nice but I like a good fight scene or two. I like my main character to be a badass or at least trained into being a badass. I read through a few s descriptions and decided on the perfect one. I headed up to the counter to make my purchase. The cashier had a bright smile and was very bubbly in the way she talked. "Hi! Did you find what you were looking for?" She gestured to the book.

One particularly enormous volume bore nothing more than a single silver eye staring from its cover. Adelaide found herself slowing almost immediately. One shelf held nothing but books scarcely larger than her hand, their cloth covers embroidered with tiny silver stars and embroidered flowers instead of titles. Another overflowed with enormous illustrated volumes whose spines shimmered with crushed gemstones pressed into the leather, dragons and castles catching the lantern light whenever someone walked past. Adelaide frowned, her gaze drifting across the shelves. Unlike the histories, not a single spine here bore the mark of fire. No blackened wood. No stitches holding together what flame ha

She looked down at the hundred of miles that she could fall to and panted heavily, looking back up so whoever had her hand could pull her upwards. She was pulled back to her feet by the man. Myan coughed a little and tried to catch her breath, attempting to recover from the shock. She gasped when she met the gaze of her saviour. It was the lord of the world of fire.
