I wake up again on my bed. I'm lying on my side, staring at the bathroom door. My right arm is numb with pins and needles on my neck. I sit there a moment, pulling my hair back from my face. Everything comes crashing back and tears pool in my eyes. I'm now connected to Red Blood's next in line. He's got access to my mind, if I let him. I can put a block between our minds for a long time but eventually I will get mentally tired and the block will drop because of it.

The doctor revealed coming out of his ward. I looked at him with my eyes widened. "How is that possible? He remembers his past and not me." "He's suffering from concussion." He explained. "What's that?" Oliver asked. "A brain injury caused by a blow to the head or a violent shaking of the head and body, one of the symptoms is memory loss." I understood the reason for his behavior, he only remembered the people in his past life and not me. "How can I bring his memory back?" I asked.

I’m sure there is a way to do it. I slowly shake my head. “I didn’t say anything.” He glares at me for a moment before he turns and continues on down the row of werewolf trainees. Mental note, I need to find a way to block people out and to keep my mind private for myself only, and fast. Suddenly, Bridget’s voice echoes in my head. “Hey, don’t you dare block me from being able to link with you.” OMG!!! I can still mind link with her! YES!!!

My fingers curled around the edge of the blanket, a sharp rush of frustration cutting through the unease. Did I… forget to lock it? No way. I remembered the firm press of my fingers against the knob, the slight resistance before the latch clicked into place. I knew I locked it. So unless I was losing my goddamn mind— Or— My stomach twisted into a knot. Oh, please, don’t tell me the lock is broken.

Heather's next words only added to his confusion. "Your memories have been blocked!" Heather declared, his tone serious. Lumiére's eyes widened in disbelief. "Blocked? Is this some kind of joke?" he growled, feeling a mix of anger and fear. He had heard stories of memory blocks, but he never thought it would happen to him. If Heather was telling the truth, then someone had tampered with his memories, and he had no idea who or why. It felt like the ground beneath him was slipping away, leaving him in a state of confusion and vulnerability.

My muscles grow stiff and I loose feeling in them, I try to take another step but all I can do is groan and fall down. Adriana violently trashes herself at the wall I use to block her out, screaming at me to let her through. But i can't, it hurts me to do this but I can’t have a repeat of what happened on the snowy mountain yesterday. “Keep it the fuck down!” I growl at her, pushing her back further and fortifying the wall even more. The fog has me completely paralyzed, stealing my strength from me. I push and push, but it also somehow forms a mental blockage, no matter what I try I can’t form a single mind link to any of my pack mates or friends.

As calm as I could be. "This... it’s mixed with Wolf’s Bane extract and a synthetic neural blocker. In small doses, it makes a wolf feel 'calm.' But over time? It rots the brain. It causes permanent memory loss. But before that, it causes the person to snap—sudden bursts of rage that the victim can't control. And in most cases, it results in madness. Full-blown, I tell you. The kind of madness that would need chains. Something that cannot be reversed." Fuck.

I woke up to a pressing headache resulting from someone constantly trying to get a hold of my mindlink. I blocked off my mindlink last night to enjoy my mates presence. Who could it be and what is so important? I opened my mindlink but heard nothing, I mind linked Rowan. “Hey bro…. You up’ ‘Fucker! I’m on my my woman so the gtf?!’ He screamed back in the mind link He must have blocked his mu link for same reason but as an Alfa. I can break into anyone’s mindlink.

I wished I had the mind linking skill seriously but Stern did. “Hi Stern, can you try get the Beta through the mind link?” I asked with him nodding his head. “His link is blocked; I will keep trying though.” Stern said back and I sighed. My stress levels were hitting the roof, feeling as if nothing was going my way. My frustration was too much.

I only wanted Wire—only him. How would I survive? Then strange things started to happen. Rafael Goldman went insane. He claimed he saw someone who was supposed to be Wire's mom.
