I denied smoothly. He shook his head, turning a page of his book. "Then why were you biting your lip?" My eyes widened slightly. "You're delusional." "Am I?" A smirk formed on his lips, clear disbelief in his tone. I mean... he was right. But there was no way in hell I was going to admit I was actually admiring him. What on earth is wrong with me? "Can't you just focus on your book?" I snapped. "I'm trying to, but you're making it kind of hard to concentrate."

Like I was reciting a script I’d been forced to learn. But I said them anyway. Because he’d told me not to break. Because that was the only thing I had left that still felt like mine—whether I followed through or not. My weight shifted, uneven and careful, as I tested my balance. The room swayed slightly, exhaustion pulling at me like chains, but I stayed standing. Barely. Just enough to keep from sinking back down and letting the pain win. “I won’t break,” I repeated, quieter this time, my voice steadier than I felt. “Even if I already feel shattered.”

Does he want to break my eardrum? He can't be serious..can he? My heart start beating twice than before. I tried all my possible best to disregard whatever was happening at that moment, but Instead, I put on my earphone and connect a music. I could no longer hear the ringing but I've started getting to have a headache, so I gently remove the earphone and placed it on the chair beside me. When I had done that, I couldn't hear the ringing of the bell on the door anymore. Could he have left?

I don’t know why I felt like I had been there before and it was not a pleasant time I had there. I was having a hard time pressuring myself to remember them, recall them but it was useless as I couldn’t recall any piece of memory. I feel like my mind was breaking into pieces as I was forcing myself to remember it and I had the severe ache in my head where I was on the verge of losing my consciousness.

Jennifer chokes quietly. "It's not my story to tell. Let her come to you," I choke quietly and she nods with understanding. "I'm still putting broken pieces back together and learning something new along the way. Please, whatever you and Thomas do, don't break her trust. I'm not sure I'll be enough to pick up the pieces this time."

I did break so much of rules for him and I never regret that. And now when I see him, I feel proud that I broke those rules of my own. When I feel him on my arms I feel that sometimes breaking your rules bring you happiness in life along with the risks and sometimes when you break the rules, unexpected result might show up and might take your life to next level.

“What I am trying to say is that I hadn’t thought about it that much.” He nodded and pulled out of the parking lot. Now I really did feel ungrateful. “Are you hungry? I was thinking brunch.” “Brunch?” “Yes. You know that meal that comes after breakfast but before lunch.” I laughed. “I know what brunch is, I just never had it.” He laughed along with me. “Well, there is a first time for everything.” Dmitrys cellphone rang and ignore the call. That was the first time I’d seen him do that. He was always taking call about business.
