AURELIAN It didn’t make a sound as it moved, just glided, too fast, too smooth. Its limbs bent backward, mouth gaping wide, teeth crooked like rusted nails. Vael met it mid-air. No blade. No shift. Just fury. He slammed it into the earth with a force that rattled my bones, then tore its throat out with his bare teeth. Blood sprayed across the moss, steaming in the cold. Another came. Then two more behind it.

He grabbed a broken horn from the beast from the floor mid-run and launched himself into the fray at the Dreadlord’s back. SLASH! The blade tore directly across the monster’s side, opening a gash that leaked lightless shadow. The Dreadlord hissed in genuine pain. Then Vulk attacked from the opposite direction. BOOM! Claws. Fangs. Eli. Me. Again. Again. Again.

“Last chance, Valthor. Choose unity, or fall.” Valthor roars, their dark blade slashing, void clashing with light in a shower of sparks. “The Veil’s a lie!” Their aura surges, wraiths swarming, rifts roaring, and I parry, the blade’s song guiding me, my light steady, the Veil’s hum a pulse in my bones. My human form dances, honed by battles past, but Valthor’s strikes are cosmic, their void-energy searing my aura.

Brielle re-enters the fray with a desperate screech, throwing herself onto my back, her teeth sinking into the scruff of my neck, perilously close to Clyde’s mate-mark. A roar left Frore's mouth and Vayldre knew she had lost control once again. Suddenly, Frore's hand went down and a sword of ice formed in a matter of second, before she lunged at Vayldre who had stepped back instinctively. Vayldre swiftly dodged Frore's attack then swung his own sword which was blocked by her ice sword. The loud cling sound made Frore to snap out of her haze for a moment. She blinked and breathed heavily to gain control over herself again. Taking this as an opportunity, Vayldre shifted his sword in the left hand and used it to inflict a small precisely calculated cut on her thigh. This seemed to push Frore out of control again.

“I can. And I am done asking permission.” High Alpha Vorrek moved at last. He shifted with terrifying speed, his form larger than any wolf Lunaria had ever seen, muscles corded with brute strength and authority. Wherever he stepped, Council wolves rallied, their discipline tightening like chains snapping into place. Kael felt him instantly. He’s coming for you, Kael warned. “I know,” Lunaria replied, unafraid. Vorrek tore through the battlefield, tossing wolves aside until he stood before her, blood staining his muzzle. His eyes burned with cold fury.

Swarm charges—tendrils whipping, beasts leaping in waves, gravity pockets warping bullets mid-flight. SEALs open disciplined fire—void-piercing rounds cracking carapace, explosions blooming orange. Marines advance in formation—bayonets glowing runes, heavy machine guns thundering adapted ammo. Black ops strike from invisibility—plasma blades severing tendrils clean, silent kills. Vampires blur into motion—fangs and claws rending carapace like paper, blood mist healing allied wounds mid-fight. Julian leads the center—shadow-stepping through beasts, draining essence in crimson arcs, growing faster, stronger.

Alan was in a pinch and didn't know how to escape from this, just a little movement from Fearow and it would be assaulted by sharp leaves over and over again. The sharp scent of my blood filled the air, but I let the scent and my anger fuel me. I wrapped my hand around the hilt of the blade, pulling it from my stomach with a painful hiss. Agony radiated throughout my body, blurring my vision. I barreled into the Vampire, gritting my teeth against the pain. The blade sunk into his chest with a sickening thud, growing beads of blood seeping through his shirt. I stumbled back and watched as the fight quickly came to an end. Breyona had killed another Vampire, and Alpha Asher was pressing forward against the last. Giovanni seemed to have the upper hand, slamming his shoulder into Tristan's chest, nearly knocking them both to the ground.

That only left Canada, which was dominated by cats with only two vampires throughout their territory. The front doors opened and Ivan swept into the room, bringing his own dose of energy. His eyes went to Marcus before slowly sweeping the room. He moved aside and an unknown vampire stepped forward. "Kill him." Vorlyk spoke with barely controlled fury and took a step toward the intruder. They faced off, two deadly foes with enough power to kill hundreds of humans and beastkind. Vorlyk's power flared, making his hair ruffle like there was a windstorm in the room.
