Turning her head towards the ceiling she closed her eyes, relishing in pain, and leaned back. Kira stayed like that for a few minutes with her upper body leaning against the edge of the tub and eyes closed. Just grateful that her mind was now focused on this pain and not the pain that she has been carrying for years. After a few minutes, she opened her eyes and straightened a bit. Kira popped her leg such that a small part of her thighs was out of water. Flipping open the pocket knife, she slashed a cut just above her knee- and then made several small cuts around it. She made similar cuts below her knee and didn’t stop until her whole leg was covered in blood.

A sharp crack broke the silence in the living room. The bracelet hit the hard marble floor, and the gem shattered into pieces. At that instant, everything around me stood still. I stared at the broken pieces on the floor, my mind going blank. Susan shrieked and took a step back. Jason swiftly grabbed Susan's hand and anxiously checked the back of her hand and her calves. "Did you get cut by the shards? Does it hurt?" He was finally relieved after making sure that Susan wasn't hurt. He turned around and stared at me, frozen in place, my face pale.

There’s a second.” I froze. “Where?” “I don’t know. But they’re being accelerated, Grown faster. Conditioned harder. No names. Just numbers.” My stomach churned. “What does he want from Miranda?” Kira looked at me, eyes shining with fear. “He wants her to merge them.” “What do you mean?”

“It was dropped off at the gates.” He hits play. The screen lights up and the video starts playing. It was Kira. She’s tied to a chair, unconscious. Bruises on her cheek. Blood trailing from her temple. At that moment all I could see was red.

Kira wasn't expecting that, she had a black belt in karate and she vowed to only use it when necessary. "I know who must have sent that man after Lexi, she is a woman and I don't beat up a woman unless it is–" Kira burst into laughter, she placed her hands on her waist and laughed for so long before suddenly stopping, her face hardened and it was void of emotions as she stared at Aziz. "Tell me who the hell she is," Kira sneered and Aziz smiled. ∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆

She groaned and stepped back, dropping her staff. "Not bad," she said, putting the stick down. "At least you have potential.” She paused, after staring at me again, she continued, "You can stay. I’m Kira. I left my pack because my mate was a monster. I killed him before I left, and I’m not interested in ever going back." "I’m not going back either," I said.

The reflection of the window gleamed off of Bri’s eyes, giving her hazel irises a slight glow. “It’s important that we wipe out as many of them as we can, now more than ever. They will stop at nothing to claim all of the Seishin and to wreak havoc on the world.” Kira turned to her leader and smiled, with a sense of direction and determination buried deep within her eyes. “You don’t have to remind me about the importance of my job, Madam. All I need for success is a short break every once in a while.” Bri turned from the window to meet Kira’s gaze.
