"I know what she is and what I want to do with her." My father's name was Victor. Alpha of the Eclipse Moon pack, the strongest in the eastern region for three generations. I was eleven years old when I first rode out with him on patrol, sitting in front of him on his horse, and he told me, "A wolf without territory is nothing, my son. Everything else can be rebuilt. Territory is the root." I was seventeen when Alpha Kieran's forces came through the eastern border, winning the war against my father in the end.

“It uses emotion as a chain.” The voice whispered again. “Let me in, Luna. I can end your pain.” I closed my eyes. The sound was too soft, too familiar. My heart was racing, and I could feel heat building in my chest like fire. “Fight it,” Alexander said. “Focus on something real.” I opened my eyes and looked at him. The fear in his face was real. The warmth of his hand was real. I held onto that. Then I turned back to the screens. “If you want me,” I said quietly, “you’ll have to take all of me.”

“Sorry, I don't understand.” I answered, feeling really puzzled by his words. I didn't understand what a breeder was. “What is a breeder?” Ulric sighed, but not as if running out of patience, but more as in ‘ok, let me explain it’. “Breeder is like a surrogate. Do you get it now?" I shook my head from one side to the other. “You're going to give each of the three of us a baby. You will bear the heirs of our packs. The next Alphas.”

Kit squealed, dropping his sour personality and turning into a sweet omega at the sight of Alpha Cage. Alpha Cage brushed Kit aside as his eyes remained on Ezra, marching towards him and the Alpha. “Alpha Cage” The Alpha bowed, straightening under the gaze of his prime Alpha. “What the fuck is happening here?” “This Beta….he made use of illegal drugs to smell like an Omega and seduce an Alpha” Alpha Cage's gaze landed on a trembling Ezra, eyes wide and full of fear. He turned so only Ezra could see his face and he smiled, inching closer until they were almost pressed together.

“This file contains the contract that you will sign, and the contract is letting you know that you will never conceive a child for the Alpha King….” My nose wrinkled. How was that possible? How can I be a breeder and not conceive a child? I rubbed my nose and adjusted. This isn't some simple contract, so I have to get things clear. “My lady, how is that possible? Alpha expects a child from me. How can I not conceive for him a child and still get my money?”

“My father loves the Crystal pack, Rowland. You know this.” Rowland frowned. “Yes. I know. He always claimed respect for it.” Leah leaned closer, her eyes locked on his. “Do you remember when you said you wanted Rina as a breeder? My father let you have her without question. Why? Because of his love for this pack and his belief in bonds between alphas.” Rowland’s smirk returned. He nodded slowly. “Yes. That is true. He did not stop me. He gave her to me when I asked.”

She took my hand and pulled me aside to talk. "Can you believe Stacy actually came up to me and tried to start a conversation? Like everything’s fine? Unreal." I was a little thrown—wasn’t she just chatting with Stacy like everything was fine? But then Jenny clarified, and suddenly it made more sense. "Do you know what she did last time? She actually asked me for my dad’s phone number! Her Alpha father’s pack is tiny, and she thinks she could become my new stepmother?" "But come on, King Richard's been divorced and single for years—can you really blame Stacy? I mean, he just got voted Sexiest Alpha again, didn’t he?"

The word landed like a blade. Damien nodded slowly. “So be it.” The circle opened. Wolves backed away. The ground itself seemed to hold its breath. “This ends when one submits or dies,” Marrec intoned. Damien removed his jacket. Placed it aside. Shifted. Bones cracked. Fur exploded. The Alpha emerged. Massive. Terrifying. Golden eyes burning. Korr shifted too. Fast. Aggressive. They collided. The impact shook the clearing. Claws tore. Teeth snapped.

The door to my room flung open and I was faced with an annoyed blonde lady_ someone I had never seen before. “What is this?!" she shot at me and my eyes landed on her hand which had all the ribbons I had sent the Alpha. “How did you_" she didn't let me finish before lashing at me. “You whore! Just because the Alpha chose you as his breeder doesn't mean he would ever want you" she yelled at me, her eyes red with rage. “I don't understand," I said, truly confused. “Have you looked at yourself in the mirror, maybe if you do, you'd understand no one can ever love an ugly duckling like you!" She walked further into the room, and out of fear, I moved back.

“A while back, I got a breeder—” “Breeder number what?” I asked him. It was a method of identification he once used the close time when we were having some random discussion. He looked glad for a bit then replied, “Breeder number two. She was from a little pack that was troubled by savages. After helping them defeat their attackers, the alpha gave away one of the daughters of his breeders as mine. It was great, you know. She was the first breeder I didn’t personally go in search of, rather she was kind of given to me as a thank you and all.”
