Heartbreak And Wars

Heartbreak And Wars

Rare quiet moment that should have been productive. "Because you're not just documenting events anymore. You're analyzing your own transformation, which requires vulnerability you haven't shown in the other books." Aloe read over my shoulder. "This chapter about Morrison's ghost—that's raw. That's you admitting how much his revenge still affects you even after all these years." "Maybe it's too raw. Maybe some things should stay private." "Or maybe that's exactly what makes it worth publishing. People need to know that vindication doesn't erase trauma, that winning doesn't mean you're not still affected by what you survived."

The Inheritance Clause

The Inheritance Clause

“What if you don’t choose her and spend the rest of your life wondering what you missed?” Avalon closed his eyes. There it was—the real fear underneath everything else. Not that Selene would leave. But that he’d push her away first, to prove he’d been right to build walls. “I don’t know how to be vulnerable,” he admitted. “Yes, you do. You’re doing it right now.” Dr Morrison’s voice softened. “Avalon, vulnerability isn’t weakness. It’s the foundation of intimacy. And intimacy is what you’re actually afraid of.”

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Her voice gentled. “…or it teaches them to love more honestly because they finally understand how fragile time really is.” God. Adrian closed his eyes briefly. Because yes. That was exactly what this loss did to him. Not harden him. Open him further. He pulled her closer afterward. “You know what scares me now?” “What?” “That I wasted so many years believing vulnerability made people weak.” Emotion cracked softly through his voice. “When actually it’s probably the only thing that makes relationships survive.” God.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

he said. "I know. I'm noting it anyway." We sat together in the low light. The game on the television ended without either of us tracking the final score. "Twenty-six is very young to carry that lesson," I said eventually. "Yes." He leaned his head back against the couch. "And thirty-one is apparently still young enough to be working out what it actually taught me." He was quiet for a moment. "I spent five years deciding that vulnerability was a structural weakness. A thing to engineer out of your responses so it couldn't be used against you. I was extremely effective at it."

Stuck Between Two Alphas

Presumably for us. The man standing gave us a patient nod, as if inviting us to take our places. His voice resumed, smooth and sure, like he hadn’t just been interrupted. “...and while vulnerability is uncomfortable,” he continued, “it is essential. Healing requires exposure. It’s in the rawness that the truth of who we are is found.” I shot Christian a look. “You brought me to a healing circle?” He whispered back without missing a beat. “Apparently.” “And you had no idea?”

Under The Mask Of My Enemy

Under The Mask Of My Enemy

Each click led me deeper into a world I’d never cared to explore. “Communicate openly.” “Show acts of kindness.” “Be attentive to their needs.” It all sounded straightforward enough, but with each tip, I felt more out of my depth. My life had never required emotional vulnerability. I had mastered manipulation, control, and strategy—but this? This was foreign territory. I leaned back in my chair, frustrated, and ran a hand through my hair. None of this was helping. What I needed was something concrete, something on which I could act. Then, as I scrolled further, a suggestion caught my eye:

Not when every second could count. “I need you to pull every string you’ve ever held. I’ve already got people searching the streets, but that’s not enough. She’s almost due to deliver. She can’t be out there like this. Not now.” He leaned back in his chair and closed the book, studying im closer. “Vulnerability isn’t good for business, Jeff. It shows your enemies where to strike. You of all people should know that.” Jeff slammed his hand on the desk, not caring about the noise.

Rebirth: Ice Queen

Rebirth: Ice Queen

But I don't need luck, nor am i a weirdo because this all curiosity and been curious is normal. I decided to consult the experts (aka G****e and self-help books) to understand this emotional rollercoaster I'm on. I devoured books like "The Art of Emotional Intelligence" by Daniel Goleman, "The Gifts of Imperfection" by Brené Brown, and "Attached" by Amir Levine and Rachel Heller I even stumbled upon some quirky ones like "The Science of Kissing" by Sheril Kirshenbaum (who knew there was a whole book about kissing?!). Armed with new knowledge, I felt slightly more prepared to tackle my emotional chaos. But, let's be real, I was still a hot mess. I needed human interaction, specifically with t

the students are not friendly at all but, I'll see. in the afternoon I decided that I'm going for a walk. so I put my shoes on and go for a walk. the most perfect thing in my neighborhood. it's quiet. after I walk about 8 minutes I think. I found a coffee shop. I thought to myself I didn't drink coffee this morning, so I'm going to buy one. as I'm walking in I bumped into someone that I almost fell, but not on the ground, in someone's warm arms all this time I closed my eyes because I thought I was going to fall but I didn't. Thanks to that dude I open my eyes slowly. and I found his beautiful green eyes staring at me. His eyes are cold, but they are beautiful.
