Broken Melody Novels & Stories

A cosmic crossroads awaited, where choices would carve new trajectories in the tapestry of existence. Amidst the cosmic chaos, a haunting melody lingered—a melodic reminder that the cosmic ballet endured, its rhythms composed of choices and consequences. As the figure from the past faded into the cosmic currents, a lingering question echoed: What cosmic revelations awaited us beyond the fractured nexus, and what price would the cosmic dance demand?

It played the silence of the friends they had lost along the way. "I can't... I can't check them," Zane groaned, his massive obsidian frame vibrating so violently that small cracks began to appear in his skin. "Every time I get close, the music... it tells me I’m too heavy. It tells me I’m just a mistake in a beautiful song." "It’s a Dissonance-Attack!" Rhys shouted, his voice straining against the rising crescendo. "They're trying to resolve us! They want to turn our 'Glitch' into a 'Minor Chord' and then delete the note!"

“I’m sorry.” Downstairs, Melody sat at the dining table. Tears continuously stream down her face, "Why the tears, Mel?" Mateo’s demonic voice echoed in the darkroom as Melody's breath hitched before she forcefully swallowed, "I'm so used to seeing positive Melody, the woman who wants everyone to be happy, especially when some of us need nothing more than misery and pain," he said as his shadow drew closer and closer causing goosebumps to raise on her arms as she slightly shook.

It was a melody that was both simplistic and yet complex at the same time, hauntingly beautiful in its melancholy undertones. As the melody grew more intense, so did Antonio's playing. His fingers danced across the ivory keys, pressing and releasing them in a mesmerizing ballet of precision and dexterity. Each chord was crafted with the meticulous care of a master sculptor chiseling away at a block of marble, revealing the beauty that lay hidden within. His body swayed subtly with the cadence of his composition, each movement in harmony with the pulsating rhythm.

He was a master Echo-Walker, so he grounded himself in his core song and opened his mind to the echo. What he received wasn't a narrative. It was a feeling. A feeling of profound, aching incompleteness. It was tied to a melody—a few bars of music that were beautiful, hopeful, but also sad and unfinished. The melody yearned for resolution, for a final chord that never came.

I shake my head, take a deep breath, and finally open the door. And that's when I hear it—this beautiful, amazing melody that just fills the room. It's the Lacrimosa from Mozart's Requiem in D minor, and it's like pure bliss for my ears. The vocals are all singing “Lacrimosa,” and the music just washes over me like a wave of heavenly sound. For the first time ever, I'm actually glad Vivaldi's around. I mean, the guy's got taste, I'll give him that. But just as I'm getting lost in the music, I trip over something and go stumbling forward—and that's when I see it. A dead body, staring up at me with glassy, lifeless eyes and a neck that's been ripped open, blood everywhere.

Understanding the wreckage of my silence, he turned around and walked away quietly. Henrietta had successfully blown my father's birthday straight to hell. I lay there in the dark, staring up at the ceiling as my phone lay abandoned on the duvet. “Memories ah oooh, carry me go...” “Carry me go oh no where...” “Sick and tired of it all, take me far away.” Like a faithful ghost, Alexander,my room's AI bot automatically kicked on in a soft, low hum, playing the exact heartbreak rhythm I needed. He always knew the absolute perfect Burna Boy song to cue up when my soul was bleeding out.

Celine whispered in Vicky's ear, "I'm sorry, I'm leaving abroad soon. Your stupid best friend is gone forever. She's dead now. What else can she do to me? "She was just too stupid to fall in love with Dustin. And you, just like your best friend, are equally stupid!" Vicky screamed. She stretched out her hand and pulled Celine's hair against the wall. Dustin pulled Celine back into the room. Bang, the door was shut. Vicky continued screaming outside the door, shouting loudly for Dustin to open the door. Dustin was unmoved. Celine stepped forward with her eyes all red and said pitifully, "I'm sorry, Dustin, maybe I shouldn't have come back. If I had stayed abroad, I would not have caused Saman

I appreciated his words, but nothing could take away the pain I was feeling. As I left the physician’s office, I noticed the messenger waiting for me at the door. “What is it now?” I asked, my voice heavy with grief. “The alpha has called for you,” the messenger said. “He says that your soul binding to Cynthia will commence in a few seconds.” I felt torn between continuing with the wedding and mourning my mother’s passing. I also needed to prepare for her burial arrangements. How could I possibly have soul binding with Cynthia right now?
