I said, chuckling as Genesis tried to poke the syrup with her straw before it was even handed to her.
We passed a stall selling fish balls and kikiam, the scent of vinegar and chili oil wafting in the air. Cameron handed Genesis a stick of fish balls dipped in spicy sauce.
"Careful," he warned. "These are weapon-grade spicy."
"Not spicy!" Genesis grinned defiantly before chomping down, only to fan her mouth seconds later.
"Told you," Cameron said, smirking.
Nearby, a bubble artist had drawn a small crowd. Genesis pulled away from me with a gasp. "Look, Mama! Bubbles!"
