The doctor stared at the file in his hands for a second. “He is in recovery right now. We were able to remove the bullet, but we won’t know the full extent of his injury until he wakes up. However, he lost a lot of blood so we are going to keep him in a coma for a day so his body can rest. I want you to be prepared for the fact that he may never walk again.” The words hit me hard. He may never walk again because he loved me enough to take a bullet for me. I looked at the doctor.

He said tauntingly and like a tornado hit me I remember why I in first place I was stuck with him! For money….. “Nah, hahah honey, I need money and if you the key, I am all in for it.” I told him boldly. A small smile formed on his lips and he shook his head before starting the car again. “What? What you smiling on?” I asked a little too curious and confused. “You really wanna know? Cain scoffs and Gene glares at him, his eyes rimmed with unshed tears. "You may not have liked your father, but I knew him my entire life. You have no idea who he was or what he did, he was the best man I have ever known and he did not deserve the life he was handed. He should have had your mother by his side, he loved her…" Gene stops and clears his throat before continuing. I am happy to help train the next Beta when you choose them, but I request that you do so quickly, I only stayed on this long because Abaddon was my best friend."

I asked pulling my legs to my chest “ I will do everything I can. But you just saved his life more than you know. So if you will please wait in the waiting room I will help save your brother's kidney and fix his bones. I promise to come and get you when you can see him again” he says as I watch him cover back up the whole he’s cut into him already.

Bucky says but quickly adds on, “I am old and know many things, but I do not know everything and this situation is beyond even my understanding of the world.” Shaun peers at Bucky with a look that tells me he isn’t happy about this response. “I suppose it is a unique situation,” he finally replies with a long sigh. “Will you at least relay any information to me? If it might help deal with whatever powers she has?” “I can look into it, but I do not know if I will discover anything,” Bucky responds with a shake of his head. “I must remain neutral even if I find something that can be useful to either side. You must understand, I am bound by the rules to not interfere in the lives of other shift

Way to go, son." he says happily, making Russell close his eyes as if I had just revealed a dark secret. "Who's your sponsor?" he asks. Both Russell and I respond at the same time. "No one important." "Knights Enterprise." Uncle Fred's jaw clenched, and I could see his face turn angrily. "Knights Enterprise?" he turns to Russell, who has his eyes closed and hands fisted.

A guy in rimmed glasses shrieked dramatically at them in excitement, tumbling over piles of paperwork. Toby smiled at the man, "hello Barns. How have you been?" "Very good since I just saw you."
