Jackson saw me and waved at me enthusiastically, almost falling off his chair, making Tasha laugh hard at him, almost choking on her apple juice as I approached the table. "Hey dumbasses." I greet them with a bright smile. "Hey chipmunk," Jackson says with a smirk on his face. Weird. Jay was always happy, yeah, but never this happy. And he was smiling like he knew something I didn't. Opening up the bag Bryson packed my lunch in, I started eating. That was until I couldn't bear the looks Tasha and Jackson were both giving me. "Okay!" I said, slapping my palms on the table.

Albertus smile. 'Shit.'

“Nah, you look like a princess I have only read in books, it just the tiara that is missing. We could stop at a nearby store to get it, don’t you think?” He flattered.I smiled.“You are so smooth, Billy.” “I am just trying to make you smile. You look better when you smile and you should smile often.” He said. I glanced at the rear mirror to see Jake was watching me. I immediately looked away,“I am always smiling. It’s just that, smiling hasn’t been something I do willingly these days.” I said, looking up at the mirror. Jake looked away, staring outside through the window. “You just have to smile even when there is nothing to smile about.

Like shoes and clothes. Bucky is standing outside the door with a small cup in his hand. I smile down at my friend and jump down to greet him. When my feet hit the ground I stand and lift my arm and place two fingers on my forehead. “Good morning Sir!” I say before saluting him. He had served in the military for ten years and came home without any support and ended up on the streets for his trouble. He rolls his eyes. “You’re funny. Here take this and warm up.”

he asked feeling bored he was interrupted. " the boss just smiled" the once boring look on his face was replaced with an are-you-serious look. " common man, I won't lie to you..." Bruce was happy hearing what he said. " if the boss can still smile, that only means he's a heart...what transpired?" Bruce questions and Derrick happily told him not to leave out anything..they were happy for their boss though they knew their boss won't accept her at least they were grateful for seeing their boss smile for the very first time...

When he smiles like someone is very dear to him, but the smile is empty, cruel even. “Persistent.” He exclaims pleasantly, like we’re conversing over the luncheon he looked like he walked into. “Stubborn,” I correct, wiping blood off my lip with my shoulder. “Ask anyone.” Bane barrels in at exactly that moment, and I smirk as he skids on the baton. He goes down so hard it shakes the wall. I laugh. I can’t help it. Pain blinks the edges of my vision when I do. The heartbeat kicks again. So she or he does not like slapstick. Noted.

I can’t even bring myself to watch Jay change, let alone anyone else. A little while goes by before Bucky sticks his head out of the cabin again and calls us in to join him. The man himself seems as young as we are, though his eyes have this aged wisdom held within those forest green eyes. I speculate just how old Bucky is. With how young he looks, I wouldn’t have believed him to be as old as he is, had Jeremiah not told me so himself.

Bucky lifted his foot and stepped out. After nine o’clock, the hospital was very quiet. Bucky returned to the car, he lowered his head and lit a cigarette. He remembered Alina and Noble in the photo he had just seen, he didn’t know what the two were talking about but Alina curled her lips and smiled, Noble stood beside her, he lowered his head slightly, the distance between the two was not too far nor too close, not to the point of being vague but seeing it made his heart feel like there was a thorn stabbing it.
