He had hours to kill. While she tapped away at her laptop Nolan turned his attention to the shelves of books lining the walls. The whole room looked like something out of a movie with its dark, polished shelves reaching up a good twenty feet in the air. A rolling ladder provided access to books too high to reach. The windows at the end of the room had been covered by long drapes. A desk sat in front of the windows, its surface tidy. He couldn't imagine growing up in a place like this. It didn't feel like a home. Even their bedrooms were more about the appearance of grandeur than comfort. Places like this might look good in a magazine or in a picture, but he didn't want this for himself.

I gushed and lowered my voice because there was someone else sprawled on the floor with a book in her hands. “The Fiction Nook is always here for you whenever you need to enter into the pages of beautiful novels, ma'am.” “Can I do so now? Three art frames were pinned to the wall, right above the couch. I admired the beautiful lamp on a stool near the couch. You could see the kitchen area with everything in order. Had Noah arranged everything because I was coming over or was he always like that? I hoped I’d have the chance to find out some day.

The bedding is lux and there are more playful animals and extra, folded, ecru satin-quilted blankets. I have no doubt there is a wired sound and surveillance system for tranquil music and 24/7 monitoring. I also spy a flat screen for playing movies and videos. Together they climbed the staircase and opened the door that lay beyond. It was a small sun-filled room that had been made into a reading nook. Outside the window, you could see the entire estate and the road leading to it. It meant that someone reading up here could see anyone who entered or left the estate. There was a small fireplace on one side of the room, two comfy wingback chairs, and a chaise lounge. There was also a desk. She was silent. The reading nook was like a dream. She wanted to curl up on the chaise lounge and behind her exploration of the library down below. She didn’t want to leave this space for days until her book fever wore off if it ever would.

“Alright, guide me then. Which one should I start with?” Noah looked at me, really looked this time, and then reached up and handed me a different book. “Start here. The world-building is cleaner.
