Monster Among the Roses

Monster Among the Roses

With not much knowledge about the topic, I lamely added, “Just every step of the process. Right?” The idea appealed to him. His eyes lit with hope and he nodded slowly before squinting. “You know how to build bookshelves?” I knew how to cut wood and then nail it back together. The rest I could learn, after another trip to the public library. So I gave a vague nod, mumbling, “Mmm, hmm.” That was good enough for Mr. Nash. He clapped his hands together, his grin blooming. “Perfect. You head to her library now and get started. I’ll make sure Izzy knows she has to see you if she wants any say in how her library’s renovated.”

Leesa's Advent

Leesa's Advent

At least there would be plenty of kids inside to mingle with should they need to get lost in a crowd. The interior of the first two floors of the building had been completely modernized over the past decade. Hundreds of computer monitors had been installed, and they were gathered into two sections on each floor. There were lots of tables, desks and even some cubicles along the walls for studying, as well as plenty of cushioned chairs and a few couches. The whole place had wireless access, so lots of kids pecked away at their laptops and tablets. The center of each floor contained tall shelves filled with the newer, more popular and useful books.

Sold To The Alpha

Sold To The Alpha

she replied softly as she reached for one of Noah's beloved storybooks on the nearby shelf. Noah's face lit up with anticipation as he handed the chosen book to his mother. Irene settled into a comfortable position on the edge of his bed, the book held open before her. She began to read, her voice gentle and soothing, weaving a tale of adventure and wonder. As Irene's melodious voice filled the room, Noah's eyes grew heavy, but he fought to keep them open, not wanting to miss a word of the enchanting story. He clutched his favorite stuffed animal, a plush bear named Mr. Snuggles, to his chest.

Deceived Souls of the Past

Deceived Souls of the Past

I took my favorite book off, Her Forbidden Alpha, grabbed my blanket, and sat on my bay of window. When I looked for a flat, the only demand I had was that I need a nook for myself. I saw many apartments, but neither felt cozy. They were built for businessmen or successful women. I wasn't either. I just wanted something that felt homey... In this little town was my last chance. I didn't really hope I would find something. But when I saw it, I knew this little gallery waited for me.

The Softest Kind of Ruin

The Softest Kind of Ruin

Nicole's fingers danced across the spines of the books, gently adjusting their positions. She wanted to create an alluring display, one that would capture the attention of passersby. The vibrant covers were like a painter’s palette, and Nicole was the artist, carefully crafting her masterpiece. She stepped back, eyes narrowing as she scrutinized her handiwork. A slight tilt here, a nudge there—she was determined to find the perfect arrangement. The bookstore was her sanctuary, a place where she could lose herself in worlds spun by strangers. But today, she wanted the store itself to feel like one of those worlds: warm, magnetic, impossible to walk past without stepping inside. With a final s

The Space Between Pines

The Space Between Pines

The back room of the hardware store was where the serious things lived. The retail floor was organized for customers — bright, logical, the kind of layout that let someone who didn't know what they needed find it anyway. The back room was organized for Noah, which meant it followed a system that made complete sense to him and would have been opaque to most other people. Supplies organized by project type rather than category. The woodshop tools along the left wall. The samples and reference materials — molding profiles, paint chips, hardware specimens from jobs going back eight years — on a shelving unit that he'd built himself from reclaimed fir. He'd built it the winter after his father di

Knotting the Hunter

Knotting the Hunter

Of course pack members come around, and Finn drops by all the time, but those are transient visits. Noah is about to rub his scent right into the molecular structure of my bedroom if I have any say in the matter. Last time he was here we stayed in the backyard. He stops two steps inside and does the sweep, exits, angles, sight lines, and then a slower second pass that isn't tactical at all. "You have books." "You expected what, a pile of bones?" "Weights. Tubs of protein powder. A wall of selfies." He's still turning. "It's nice."

This book is so good! The 3 books I’ve read so far from this author are on my top 5 favorite on this app and this one is about to be #4! Love the writing style and love the humor in the story. I’m rooting for Dax and Noah!

Really enjoying this book so far, this is definitely one of my favorites male male books I've read on here. Quinn is really good at those it seems. Especially the relationships, but the side characters and conflict are super compelling too. Excited to read more.

Loving Him For 30 Days

Loving Him For 30 Days

Inside each case sat external solid-state drives, spare connection cables, a compact wireless router, and a portable satellite transceiver. He picked up a short black cable, coiled it neatly around two fingers, and tucked it into a dedicated slot in the smallest case. On the far side of the room, Noah shifted under the heavy white duvet on the king-sized bed. The blankets pulled tight around his shoulders as he turned onto his side, facing the desk. His eyes were half-closed, heavy with sleep, his dark hair messy against the white pillowcase. "Cass," Noah mumbled, his voice thick and gravelly from sleep. "What time is it?"

CRUEL OBSESSION

CRUEL OBSESSION

**** NOAH The school library was nearly empty, save for the quiet hum of the AC blowing a steady stream of cool air overhead. I sat alone at a corner table, the dim glow of my laptop screen casting faint shadows across the polished wood. My fingers moved steadily over the keyboard, each click punctuating the silence.

Shattered Trust

Shattered Trust

Or simply something to reassure her that the man she thought she knew wasn't a stranger after all? She took a deep breath and turned the knob, slipping inside. The room was faintly scented with leather and old wood-testament to the hundreds of hours Noah must have spent within these walls. The shelves lining these walls were lined with books, their worn spines a testament to use. Papers were neatly stacked on his desk, and a faint light from the streetlamp outside cast long shadows across the room.
